Continuous hiring on the Dash. Expect calls in a matter of weeks if applied for FO and days if for captain.

Re: WestJet Encore applies for LMIA to hire foreign pilot
I see. Is there anyone from India here that can comment if there is a glut of pilots there looking to gain experience overseas? Only SpiceJet has Dash pilots. The ones who haven’t yet left SpiceJet are the ones who were ok with what they were getting even when the company was faltering. Now that Spi...

Re: DEC E2. Still hiring OTS?
Our DEC window closed a few months back, just before you applied as per your AVCANADA post. Upgrade Program started and I think for now DEC will stay closed for foreseeable future as we have more internal transfers onto the jet. Things change faster here than a politicians position, so don't fret. ...

Re: Aerocourse and NIZUS ATPL
Do both of these diligently and you should pass the exams. Try to finish the workbook before the seminar. I took in person course and it was ok, to streamline what you have already studied! Nizus felt easier than the actual exams but it helps if you do Nizus alongwith Aerocourse as it perpares you o...

When to apply.
Hello, I am in the process of converting my ICAO ATPL to a TC ATPL. Have passed all the exams (SAMRA,SARON, INRAT) and have completed the group 1 instrument rating recently. My current ICAO ATPL is under renewal and I expect it to be renewed in a couple of weeks. Can I apply for job postings with th...

Re: Aerocourse ATPL ground school/seminar worth it?
Hello, I am planning to start studying SAMRA/SARON and I found there is Aerocourse ATPL ground school/seminar (virtual or in-person classroom format). Is it worth to take that seminar? Or will studying by myself with Aerocourse's Airline Transport Pilot License Workbook be fine? Thank you in advanc...

Flight schools for Group 1 Instrument rating
Hello, I need to convert my ATPL to Canadian ATPL and need to either get a sim check or actual ME aircraft class 1 IFR rating. I have already posted a separate topic looking for a sim examiner. I have the instrument time and other requisites. Can someone guide me to a flight school to get my ME IR t...

Re: SARON Exam
Hi,
Just wrote the exams.
I felt the SAMRA was slightly trickier than the SARON which was pretty straightforward.
No questions on duty regs as well.

Re: More power to you
Which country? I guarantee you are better off staying put or going to the US than coming to work for an airline here as a new hire FO. Cost of living is insane compounded with the low pay and high taxes. Yes I agree with you, the starting wages are bad everywhere in Canada and the prices are going ...

Re: More power to you
Hello aviators, I am looking to move to Canada and fly one of those metal tubes soon. Came across Avcanada recently and it breaks my heart to see the starting wages. Where I fly we do not have a union, the pay is 'OK' and I hope and pray that the great work all of you are putting towards raising th...
