Okay let's do that then. If there is no change to the T4 the company won't have any problem with it right?

I believe the mistake theory is possible, for one switch. After you flipped the first one to cutoff you would realize what you just did.

Re: Dreamliner Down in India

Are we sure the person that moved the switches to cutoff is the same person that moved them back to run? The FO could have noticed the Captain had moved them to cutoff, asked him why he did that, and then the FO could have been the one to move them back to run.

Re: Flight Attendant strike vote opens on July 28th

There would be less incentive to get the cabin secured and ready for pushback on time if they were paid by the at-work hour. That could be a real issue and frequently occurs with employees who aren't under direct manager supervision. It could lead to conflict with the pilots too, who are anxious to ...

Re: Dreamliner Down in India

cnpc, I often see this argument that no one should speculate about accidents on the accidents forum but I struggle to understand it. I would suggest avoiding the forum if the speculation bothers you. I assure you that your '1 in a million chance' is the leading theory amongst airline pilots.

Re: Dreamliner Down in India

It's interesting to me that in both the Air India and MH370 cases the pilots took actions to cover up the fact that it was a suicide/mass murder. The Air India Captain, having much less system knowledge, took actions to make sure the fuel control switches would be found in the run position. The Mala...

Sadly they are reporting at least one deceased. It seems like it was owned by an Aerial Survey company from Delta, BC.

Najavo crash Deer Lake, N.L.

The media is reporting it as a Navajo. They are often wrong so I apologize if the aircraft type isn't correct.

Re: CBC coverage- Pilot’s frustrated ATC rant

They're working 8 days on, 1 day off to do that. Pretty sure flight crews don't work that many hours. There were Rouge pilots making over $400k years ago but they also had to work pretty hard for it. If the Tower controllers making that much money are the same people training the new staff I can se...

The really expensive ones have probably been self insured by the taxpayers. The OMNR Twin Otter, the RCMP Turbo Beaver, maybe this Telus one was also self insurance.

"Terrorism is the use of violence or the threat of violence against non-combatants to instill fear and achieve political, ideological, or religious goals." I'd say this incident fits. He used the threat of violence to instill fear in both the flight instructor, and the people on the ground in YVR. H...
