Re: Encore Hiring

I recommend apply WHILE walking through. Or walk through WHILE applying. Or maybe, apply then walkthrough then walkthrough while applying WHILE eating a sandwich. But WHATEVER YOU DO!!! DO NOT put too much thought into it. Just relax and be yourself...but DO NOT let them see you relax too much!!! B...

Re: First Air Crash Resolute Bay August 20 2011

Anyone here old enough to remember Korean Air 2033? http://code7700.com/mishap_korean_air_2033.html A fight in the cockpit between a Canadian left-seater and a local FO results in a crashed airplane. "The Korean Air Airbus A300 made its approach faster than usual to avoid potential windshear. Fifty...

Re: Emergency descent..

Ravensrule: You spent 6 weeks training to be an FA. I spent 7 weeks getting a 737 type rating. Just think, if you would have done just one more week of training, you could have been a pilot. On a serious note, most of us have a lot of respect for what you guys do and the contributions you make to W...

Re: Pass Travel charge

Prior to CCAA and the waiver of the employee service charges, AC and Jazz pilots could jumpseat on either airline for tax charges only...... no one bothered to use them subsequent to this as a jumpseat or a C2 were the same cost. If memory serves me correctly all that was required was a " u-write" w...

Re: Pass Travel charge

What will happen is that Jazz pilots will use jumpseat passes for commuting on AC and Jazz to avoid the service charge thus making it tougher for off line pilots to get a '' jumpseat " on either airline.

Re: Is this how we treat people?

I must say that I have always been treated with respect and courtesy during the half-dozen or so times I've commuted on West Jet, it is much appreciated.

If Jazz and AC were truly so separate, AC would not honour the current hiring freeze for Jazz pilots and would hire them at the same rate as WJ does.... Just an observation.

It's just too bad that you can make more flying a Navajo or a Beaver than you start at with jazz on an RJ or -8..
It`s not too bad that you can make more flying a "Ho" or a beaver, It`s too bad you make less flying an RJ or -8.

The only problem I have is watching guys fix my machine while drinking. I have seen that more then a few times. Not a fan of that.[/quote]

Personally I prefer to watch the "ballet" or shoot pool while drinking, maybe you should change what you're drinking?
