Re: N499SW King Air fatal crash - Owner/pilot was unlicensed
If I were to head out to the airport today and fly the Husky would that automatically mean I am not a safe pilot? No, it would mean you are not legally qualified to operate an aircraft. I believe you have some experience with legal matters so you'd probably know better than most if that is a road w...

Re: To stop or not to stop in Keflavik, Iceland
What version of the 737 are you referring to?I know if a loaded B737 were to leave YVR, or YEG, or YYC it would have to make a technical stop in Iceland in order to reach Ireland or the UK.

Re: Logging Take-offs and Landings
I'd do it this way:
If you took off during day and flew for 2.5 hours I'd log 2.5 hours as day with one day take-off.
If the same flight flew another 2 hours at night I'd log 2 hours night with one night landing.
4.5 hours cross country.

Re: Logging Sim Time
CAR 101.01(1) defines "flight time" as meaning "the time from the moment an aircraft first moves under its own power for the purpose of taking off until the moment it comes to rest at the end of the flight". Any more questions on whether sim time can be included as total flight time? V1 cuts at 0.1 ...

We have booster packs, you don't. I'm voting yes.(WJA) bought some battery booster packs. They're in the crew room. Use them to get your car started.
Hilarious and disturbing that a booster pack buys a yes vote. I suppose the agenda is going as planned.

Why do you think that is the idea behind getting another aircraft type? Why would they start another company if the idea was to make it easy for pilots to move from jets to props and vice versa?
