I think Belly has it right on, as well as a couple of other guys here. the only time guys dont work out on the ground is because of their greater ability to get out of work than to do it. it doesnt mean that you have to shut up and do dangerous things and stupid things, it just means, 1) shut up, 2)...

You can see the point in this video when you think about it. They are always in danger of being ambushed or hit with an IED or a VBIED. If they were to get stopped it ofcourse makes a much better target for anyone. That is why they are trying so hard to keep moving. You can hear them blaring the hor...

Stephen Hawking explains why he hates outsourced maintenance and not following proper procedures. I love how far the rear hatch flew to land behind the first wall.
I tried a search for this but didnt see it anywhere.

If ANYONE knows how to embed the videos in the forum, that would be easiest for everyone. I tried in the past and I cant get it to work in here for some reason. Does anyone know if the mods just dont allow it, or what the deal is. If it is possible you can just watch it on the same page you are alre...

We always talk about making good decisions. Here are some pilots who made some poor ones even though their intuitions were telling them otherwise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV_16PdWnBo http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/5160/matty1qt4.th.jpg Lance Corporal Matty Hull Quote: Inquest told of 'rog...

HUD Footage, Evading 6 SAMS in 1st Gulf War w sound.
Pretty intense. The guy just never gets a chance to stop turning. There is an explanation down the page under the video, but I guess this one pilot dodged 6 SAMS all by his lonesome, without the help of chaff/flares.

*Video* 767 Lands Long-Pax video
An old video about a 767 landing at La Aurora, MGGT, in Guatemala City. Too high, too fast, and too wet. Its from a passenger's point of view. I love how the clapping for the pilot's beautiful long flare and smooth touch down oh so quickly morphs into screaming for their lives. I also love how this ...

AirBus 340? Brake Test with Massive Failure
I searched and didnt see anything like this, so hopefully this is first up. Simulated aborted t/o at v1, to a stop, then taxi back to park... with the drama that ensues. I guess at first the crew was asking the firecrew not to put water on the breaks to cool them off. Bad decision in the long run i ...
