Calling card - advice please.

I travel within Ontario, Quebec and the NE U.S. - What is the best calling card in regards to rates and service?

Thanks in advance for our help.

Simply put - No. But I gather your boss is suggesting otherwise. It should be pretty clear in the CARS.

Calling level would help to cross-check your altitude and their readout, however, that was already done when you checked in on the frequency in the first place.

My 2 cents... I don't call level, but I do call if leaving an altitude when I was given Pilot's Discretion.

There are very few people willing to dedicate their careers to flight training in this industry and Rick Wynott was one of the few special people who did. Rick also realized that flight training is a business, a student was actually a client, and thusly he championed professionalism each day he arri...

An excellent opportunity for a starter - It's everything you hoped a Northern job would be! Hard work, poor aircraft, remote location, lots of hours, low wages... But that's why you became a pilot right! And blame the insurance company for the minimums before you blame the owner!

In my personal opinoin - no, it's not worth it. Take the extra money you'd make at any normal career and buy confirmed tickets anywhere you want to go. Make your 'stories' during your free time rather than while at work. Most pilots tell good work stories cause work is all they've ever known! If you...

From FlightSafety International... Since jet fuel and water are of simlar densities, water does not settle out of jet fuel as easily as it does from aviation gasoline. For this reason, the airplane must sit perfectly still, with no fuel being added, for approximately 3 hours prior to draining the su...

Checking 121.5 at shutdown

I once had to search for an aircraft on the field which had its ELT going off. Presumably someone had landed with the aircraft's ELT activated and put it away in the hangar. But which hangar? Search and rescue advised me to use a handheld and walk around the field searching for the hangar which emin...

Active Noise Cancelling Headset - Worth the $???

I've just begun flying fairly loud turboprop and am wondering if I should 'invest' in a good ANR headset. Prices range from $800 to $1400! Yes, my hearing is important to me... but is it worth it?
