Re: Fleet offers
Seems strange that they are offering 787 fo spots.. what’s the reasoning behind that as im sure those would get snapped up in a bid

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
Is there any rule to have more LEC reps at our bases, something that proportionally reflects its members.
Something similar to, I dunno, our legislative system.

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair
I tend to agree with what thepoors posts. His comments seem pretty logical to me. Hopefully he is part of the union in some regard, because he seems like he’d be a great asset. He’s right, Winnipeg base needs to be addressed. Another thing to consider as well, cost of living varies drastically betwe...

Any idea what the schedules are like at emirates/fly dubai?
Is it a rotational type gig or is it similar to the airlines in canada?

Re: contract search tool
Giving up profit sharing for pay raises is an improvement I’d agree. It’s just shifting money around imo, and I would argue it’s just contract restructuring vs anything close to a wcc or 2.1 billion on contract gains or however they worded it. If our biggest win was pay, we got bamboozled. Hard to d...

This would be a great feature for other AC documents like the FOM, FAM, AOM, etc. Heck, integrate it into aeronet as well.

Re: OTS to YVR
My previous post wasn’t meant to be disrespectful, sorry if it came across that way.
I was just curious since you aren’t unionized, could things like training costs and perhaps YOS from a different carrier be negotiated prior to being hired.

Heard they are going to start focusing on ops related apps vs customer apps
New wide bodies from Boeing and airbus are +5 years away, whatever they decide to choose
AC lounges getting upgrades
737 transitioning to rouge Q4
Just what I heard..

Re: 2025/26 GS
Just over 253 vacancies for the next 365 days.
So 21 new hires per month
I’d say the ACTUAL projections have things being slow for the next year.
This unicorn monster bid could change that, but that’s just speculation and apparent plane delivery issues.
No idea what upgrade times are currently.

Yeah WJ does seem like a no brainer outside of Yvr/Yyz.

Fingers crossed on the Moab 🥕

Just wondering if anyone in here has left AC prior to retirement?
Whered you end up?
Why’d you leave?
Any regrets?

After the sunwing merger through most of 2025, whats next on the horizon for WJ? 42 max 10’s on order… are the 700’s getting retired? When does your current contract expire? When can you expect a new deal? Hard to expect much more gains when you can’t really leap frog off ac with their current deal....

Re: We won't leave a penny on the table!!
Im curious how much of the AC salaries go to whom in the payscales. For example, if 30 percent of the pilots are on flat pay does that account for 15 percent of total pilot wages? How much more from that 1.9 billion would it have cost the company to put everyone on formula pay? Double? Was it ever r...

Re: We won't leave a penny on the table!!
Does it cost Canada Post that much to go on strike? Similar to other government jobs like teachers, nurses, etc. The main expense would be labour I’d assume? With AC, there is a lot more hemorrhaging going on if a strike did occur, no? Hence, making a strike a lot more effective as the employer has ...
