Re: RCAF looking overseas to fill pilot shortage

Shortage of pilots in the RCAF isn’t a function of recruiting; the number of applicants still vastly outpaces the RCAF’s ability to intake and train them. This is one of the reasons the RCAF can be so selective. This means even if we did open reserves to off the street hires, we couldn’t train them...

Re: RCAF looking overseas to fill pilot shortage

So again how is the Air Force reserve not an option in Canada? We already have the Army reserve which is very successful from what I've heard there are almost more reservists than reg force in the Army. Our neighbours to the south can have you flying your airline job of a 737 during the week and a ...

Re: AeroCourse Groundschool manual

Save yourself the money and study right from the AIM / CAR's. The questions are pulled right from there so your getting the information right from the source. I used an aerocourse workbook for questions and Nizus for practice exams and scored mid 90s on all the exams.

Good luck

Re: Nav Can Whisky Tango Fox over

Flow into YVR or YYZ is ridiculous. Slow down, speed up, ohh….. boxum crossing time, vectors for spacing, direct boxum, how fast can you go now? Maybe the government should look at funding ATC versus a pay per use model. The FAA is miles ahead. Grooved 1.5 miles long runways with ILS approaches on ...

G-Shock solar. Specifically gwm5610. Takes a hell of a beating and don't worry about it when I hit it stuff in the cockpit.

Re: 737 Flight Bag Recommendations

I use a relatively slim but expandable laptop bag from amazon. I think it was $40 That's what I use too. It's not as cool as a big box covered with stickers though. 8) The thought of the big leather box case seemed great at the start but then I realised I never flew the DC8 so I couldn't run it. :r...

737 Flight Bag Recommendations

Hi everyone, looking for your opinion on your flight bag that you use on the 737. Looking to upgrade my tired old one for a new one and there is too many choices out there. Let me know what works (or doesn't) for you, aswell as any recommendations.
