Not interested in CEOTP myself but wondering about the airforce attrition. Must also be tough to go from left seat Tac Herc into the right seat of of an RJ or Emb. Understand the wanting to live in TO perhaps ........ or maybe I don't actually.

Airforce to AC
Does anyone have any idea what percentage of the 600 or so new hires at AC will be taken from the Airforce ? There are rumours that AC contacted the Airforce in regards to hiring, precipitating the opening of the CEOTP training plan which accepts pilot applicants without degrees. In other words, AC ...

Just a side note - I do not fly for Air Canada or for any airline for that matter. I know that nearly all hiring for municipal, provincial, and federal government is done through recomendations and internal references as is the hiring for a million other banks, marketing firms, government agencies a...

As with any flight school - it depends on which instructor you fly with. Some are good some not so good. Good things - CFI is a great guy, busy airport so lots of good experiences in a controlled environment, TC on site, flight test examiners on site, no ferry. Bad points - older aircraft, Toronto p...

I think an important point has to be raised. In an industry with a surplus of pilots and surplus of resumes, an employer must use education as a qualifier. Surely they can't do a check ride for every potential candidate. In North America education is used partly to deterimine an individuals intellie...
