Thanks Herc Driver's,

Not interested in CEOTP myself but wondering about the airforce attrition. Must also be tough to go from left seat Tac Herc into the right seat of of an RJ or Emb. Understand the wanting to live in TO perhaps ........ or maybe I don't actually.

Airforce to AC

There are rumours that AC contacted the Airforce in regards to hiring, precipitating the opening of the CEOTP training plan which accepts pilot applicants without degrees. In other words, AC ...

Just a side note - I do not fly for Air Canada or for any airline for that matter. I know that nearly all hiring for municipal, provincial, and federal government is done through recomendations and internal references as is the hiring for a million other banks, marketing firms, government agencies a...

Wow - mention Seneca and peoples blood starts to boil eh ? First of all - as previously mentioned this post was to recruit alumni so why all the hostility ? As with any flight school - it depends on which instructor you fly with. Some are good some not so good. Good things - CFI is a great guy, busy airport so lots of good experiences in a controlled environment, TC on site, flight test examiners on site, no ferry. Bad points - older aircraft, Toronto p...

I think an important point has to be raised. In an industry with a surplus of pilots and surplus of resumes, an employer must use education as a qualifier. Surely they can't do a check ride for every potential candidate. In North America education is used partly to deterimine an individuals intellie...

I just talked to a retired airforce pilot. He says that the selection board can be a fairly drawn out event which can take more than a week. I applied in July last year so I just want to know one way or the other. Its been a long process. Hope we all here something tomorrow
