M .83 is roughly 8nm/min, that gives 19 mins for 150 nm.

Hi Matt,
Do you answer every application whether it's positive or negative? if so, what would be your current timeframe for application treatment?
Many thanks.

Re: Will Jazz try the TFW route?
Depends if Encore has any success with the program 1. Who wants to come to Canada and fly a regional pilot schedule for 120 grand/yr? Will they even have many foreign applicants? 2. Is it worth really pissing off the union and the pilot group? 3. Does the Jazz CBA even allow it? Foreign workers don...

Ok. Well more than 40 million Canadians and we need to bring a foreigner? This is so disrespectful.
No offence to immigrants as I'm one of them, but went through the proper channels step by step.

What did you guys expect when we allowed a foreigner to lead one of our best iconic Canadian companies, he already signed a massive maintenance contract with Lufthansa his national carrier, this guy is working for his own country and couldn't care less about ours, he's gonna wreck our industry then ...

Re: Career Advice
I'm meeting digits_'s advise here. Looking for a job is like preparing for a flight, most of the prep is done before hands, do your home work in a methodical way just like when the cops draw ring radius after a jail break. Don't get too excited and hit the road immediately. If you can't hit the road...

Thanks for the infos guys. Any jump seat agreements ??..Is it a commuter friendly environment (Mostly to YUL and YHZ). Yes, there's agreements. It'll be barely commute-able. In terms of loading and unloading, how much a DHC driver is involved in this ?? Lots and lots. Expect a sore back after a yea...

Re: Pilot schedule at Perimeter
Please shed some light bro. The questions are ridiculous, it’s a bush operation, you seem to have an expectation it’s a typical 705 operation, good luck with that brah! Bush operators typically don't fly into CYYZ. Bearskin had (has?) pretty good jumpseat agreements. Now that they merged with Perim...

Don't get discouraged mate it took me 3 years to get my first job.
Like you, i sent dozens of applications and ended up taking a cabin crew job for a while untill the market stabilized.
Be patient in the hold but don't waste your time grab something, time flies faster than we do.

Re: Midair at DCA
((Point out traffic twice)) what is this, unheard of!!! I'm not saying it's procedure. It's the scenario that happened. If you listen to the audio, the traffic was pointed out in 2 instances. It's easier to spot a landing light at night, YES, But are you looking at the right one??? There could be 3...

Re: Midair at DCA
The thing about the US ATC is that they tend to simplify things a lot. How could they instruct the helicopter to pass behind AA at night, the helicopter crew could've thought that the traffic in question has passed already, it's quite a busy airspace. Huh? Canadian ATC will also tell you to pass be...

Re: Northwestern Air Lease ending scheduled flights
It appears to be that Russ shut down Sky reg coz he was 94. You mean it had nothing to do with Jazz signing a 17 year agreement to capture all the express flying only to be swindled by big red for the millionth time? Of course not, when i was at Jazz in 2017, there were already romours that Jazz wi...
