Re: Info on Kivalliq Air (MB)
There isn't a large operation running out of YWG, mostly 1900C drivers, and they have been with the company for years. There is some charter work for B200 guys but there are enough company pilots around to fill this requirement without really basing anyone in YWG. Most of the operation is medevac ou...

Keewatin has gotten a twin otter and will operate it for Calm Air freight runs. Twotter will be out of Thompson. We'll see how this works out.

Re: king air a100 secondary low pitch stop
I used to rig these all the time. They can be very touchy. Make sure everything else is rigged first, low idle, high idle, etc. But especially make sure the flight idle is proper. The thing I did to make it a little easier was to mark the brackets with a fine tip marker. That way you can see the amo...

Re: Bearskin Airlines and PC-12's
I worked on PC-12's at the Bear from the first day they got them. They were sold on the idea that they get to altitude faster and cruise at higher speeds than the beech fleet. Which is good for long routes, which Bearskin didn't have in the north. Most of the flights were 15-20 min. Plus it only hol...

Re: Police cars at Fast Air
They have also been having issues in maintenance. They tend to fire engineers and DOM's that refuse to sign out unsafe aircraft. There are going to be three stories here, Transports version, Fast Air's and the truth.

Re: Police cars at Fast Air
TC showed up with warrants and police escort to back it up. They are going through all of Fast Air's documents. Looks like the end for them.

Mastercraft is a good way to go. You can get more tools for the money and if there is a problem just return to the store. They honor the warranty even without the receipt if you want to replace anything broken. Snap On just isn't woth the money anymore, you sometimes can't wait weeks for tools or re...

Had a similar failure with boost pumps a few years ago. The engine was overhauled and the tech replaced the accessory gearbox bearings with old "but still servicable" bearings. After about 600-800 hours after OH, these bearings set up a resonance frequency harmonic with the pump. Causing them to sel...
