Re: CBC The National: Report on SMS this Wednesday
Swordish I am having trouble figuringt you out. After 40 years, you like SMS but do not like critisism of it. Are you on the 'sms team" for TC??? "The few that abuse the system doesn't mean the whole system is fucked" Actually YES IT DOES!!! You build a law, everyone is supposed to abide by it. We a...

Re: CBC The National: Report on SMS this Wednesday
For those who think the CBC report was narrow, just think how terrifiying it would have been if they had covered ALL the problems in the industry. (Too long and nobody cares, eh?) TransX has not been a good company. If they think they got singled out, it was only becose they are typical. Far as I'm ...

Re: CBC The National: Report on SMS this Wednesday
swordfish there is no black and white (anymore) so I cant say you right or totally wrong. Their used to be black and white but TC version of SMS makes everything gray. Fact is, Air Taxi has highest stats on accidents. If so, why is it not under (enforced) SMS, and, why has inspections been stopped (...

Re: CBC The National: Report on SMS this Wednesday
Lots of good comments on here. I think the CBC presentation was accurate enuff. Many thanks to Dave Winter, especsally, and to Virgil Moshansky. The analogies were good, (despite CID comments. Most Inspectors agree that SMS was not introduced properly. It was rushed in by the arrogant clown who prec...

A friend suggested that a convicted muslim air terrorist be shackled to a dead pig in old age stocks at an airport entrance so passengers can throw garbage or piss on them. once the word gets out no more terrorism.

it must be hard operating for owners who know so little If you are -20 to-40 degrees then you would think these people would know something. Tired of the Ground and KAG have it right. Use gen assist starts. Get rid of the nicads. Some aircraft like B-02 the poh says x-gen is ok and it works, no prob...

my uncle tells the story when he had just become a new Cheif Pilot, a ''ex' employee pilot showed up looking for a chat to get rehired. The guy was about 40. He had not shaved for about a week, wore a grezy ball cap, dirty cloths and wore sunglasses the whole time even thoh there were no windows. he...

and, why does Canada (and the u.s. ) not look at sucessful security as an example. like the israelis and el al? They keep reinventing the wheel, making it up as they go along, guided by past attacks. Dumb dumb dumb. I noted one of the risks mentioned in a terminal over a year ago. Hope the terrorist...

few months ago I suggested to some other security-prisoners that there should be a donation box to fund hunting Al Quida at all security points. they laughd but agreed. I bet Osama would have a multimilion price on his head funded by irate travelers by now. Theer are many Muslims who do not agree wi...

the most logic new runway in CYYC is a parallel 28-10.
when the wind she blows, she blows from the west.
of course, they have built warehouses all over the necesary real estate to do that.
Like someone said 'just like the city." Clagary is such a horses ass mess.

Hot Fuel 602.75 states something like leaving an itenerary with a "responsible person." So, if you leave a flight plan with your company dispatch (who hopefully are responsble ) and they flight follow you with a 'good' system, then you do not need to file outside controlled airspace. and how about t...

read what flapless Dork said: if you have a current PPC, you are covered. it in the cars, but buryed as usual. Why would you be in a sim unless you are doing PPC recurrency? Remember IR renewal has to be done as a PPC ride per TC, so you should get the PPC with the Ir. If PPC for 703 going to be ann...
