Flight Duty Day tracking
Hello, Does anyone have a very simple excel template they would be willing to share that tracks duty day requirements for a private operator (604) I was going to make a simple one that tracked the max hours over specific time periods and had a spot for night currency. Im sure this exists already. Pl...

Anyone here or know someone that worked for Q jets in Calgary?
I am imagining they would have had an approved MEL for the citations 501’s they had and I’d love to see it. I’d happy pay someone for it. Please let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks!

TC Personnel Licensing Stats - Transports Canada
TC had published how many ATP, Commercial, Private, Recreation ect licenses that were active.
I can find it anywhere now. Did they stop, if so, why?
Anyone know? Are there less current licensed pilots every year?

Re: Privately owned VS managed aircraft
When you have someone who's paycheck relies on a single owner being happy things seem to get done. Private flight departments have generally had the happiest pilots to my knowledge. When buying a jet with a 500K-1M annual budget though you don't want any headaches and if that means 5-10K / month for...

Re: Simulators for ab initio training
Ive used the redbird and I didnt think it was peticularly special- its uses what looks like conventional computer monitors... I think simulators are good for procedural training... I think itll be used more in training as long as gas keeps getting more expensive

looking for B-1900 info
Hello, I would like to know if anyone out there would be willing to provide me with study material on the Beech 1900D. A flight manual or maintenance manual in a pdf file would be awesome! I have only been able to find small sections of the POH on the internet. Any other links or anything else relat...

Using the transponder
Is it nessessary to keep the transponder on standby until right before takeoff or does atc have the technology to filter out the a/c on the ground now? another similiar question- Ive seen lots of guys turn the transponder to standby rather than just turning it off right after landing. Is that easier...

Re: Peter Shewring, Canadian aviation icon, passes on
In no way is it an exageration to say that Peter was my favourite teacher ever. An incredible person with unusual passion and kindness. I had the pleasure of sitting in a couple of his courses. After his classes you could barely get a chance to talk to him as everyone else already was. Rest in Peace...

Re: Recruiting process for ATC
Anyone know if there are
spatial reasoning questions( where you have to find the same shape in a bunch of shapes)
or any
abstract reasoning questions (where you have to figure out the pattern of shapes and then pick the one that follows)
on the new nav canada test?

Re: Headset Service
I bought a Telex 50D headset a few months ago and I havent been entirely impressed. I find I barely get 15 hours flying time before I need 4 new double A batteries. Does everyone else find the same or should I send it in for some top notch service?

Question regarding ATPL time requirements
I am confused by the ATPL total time requirement. It seems clear when you read the in the Licensing, Registration and Airworthyness section of the AIM as it says the only PIC requirements are 250hrs, 100XC, 25 nightXC. My previous understanding was that you could get these PIC requirements and then ...
