Re: Flight Attendant strike vote opens on July 28th
I hope ALPA joins the strike too if Section 107 is invoked. It's sickening that the Minister is the one who brought the No response to your wage offer like she's a corporate lackey. This has to end now or we're all screwed.

Is there any indication that if the wildcat strike occurs will other CUPE members join the strike?

Because the lockout/strike hasn't started yet are they on the hook for all the passenger compensation? I wonder if we're about to get a new Labour Minister (again).Daniel Cooper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 7:43 pm I bet they are raging at the politicians they bought off right now because no FAs are showing up to work.

Re: Dreamliner Down in India
However, something doesn’t sit right with me with the immediate reply of "I didn't do that" or whatever. I feel like a suicidal person wouldn't have replied at all, or would have made some sort of unrelated personal statement.... Just a gut feeling. This is all just utterly bizarre. Time may tell. ...

I think it was more likely CFIT now. I wonder what the big hurry was to head into 1/4 mile drizzle and fog with 100 foot ceilings in a VFR aircraft with no rad alt. Saving Israel from fires?

How was the temperature at the time? Is it possible it was caused by airframe icing?

Re: New tax on flying
I don't think many people even realize how much better this country was 10+ years ago. Our dollar value was equal to USD and we had the richest middle class in the world. Now I'm not sure we even have a middle class. It's unreal how far a country can decline in just 10 years. After Monday I think th...

Like most businesses where you pay by the hour they have a financial interest in taking as long as possible. Ever notice how your instructor wants to get the engine started right away before you do 20 minutes of talking and preflight checks? These private flight schools are predatory. Never pay them...

Bringing the Labour Minister with you to negotiate a contract like you're The Godfather and he's Luca Brasi is theft. All good will and going the extra mile for this company is over.
