I like to do it as we are approaching towering cumulus because it's a fun challenge to try to print straight in turbulence.

Re: How many hours should I fly?

My strategy was to fly as much as legally possible for the first 5000 hours, then as little as legally possible after that.

Re: Recall of MEC Chair & Vice Chair

Speaking of guaranteed pay how many are still waiting for their 900hr guarantee cheque due months ago? The union seems unwilling to do anything about the company simply not paying us our contracted salary either.

Re: Emirates after AC

I think you're missing the point. If someone wants to go to the sandbox, all the power to them. But thinking that they'll be better off going there for 10 years (most likely as FO for most of those years), coming back at the BOTL at AC once AC has a "world class contract" for the next 27 years does...

I'd do it and earn enough to retire by 40. If you still want to work after that take an RP position at AC until retirement.

You should see how much they charge for CL-515s. $50 million USD per plane. Government contracts is a licence to print money.

Give them a break. The situation they are in is awful. Being left wondering about how your life is going to turn out, for months on end, can make you feel sick to your stomach.

Ramp work. Do a season throwing some bags. Wasaya is good. Numerous others out there: you’ll be flying in no time. I desperately trying to do something like that. Applied to all those players, but have yet to hear anything! Thinking of heading up north and knocking on their doors with resumes When ...

That seems odd. Here is an excerpt from the CWIPP website - Vesting Sound tricky? It’s not. It just means that you ‘own’ any benefits you’ve earned while in the plan – and you can take what you’ve earned to the date that you leave, with you (unless you’re age 55 or more, in which case the assets mu...

Get a different CAME. I had an issue with my (company) CAME phoning it in so I reached out to another one. Suddenly all my problems went away with their assistance. It just takes someone that cares enough to help you.

Don't. You'll always wonder if you got PFO'd because you annoyed them and it will cause mental illness like some of the posters here. The government is working on legislation to stop HR ladies from treating people like this.

Locking up the leader of CUPE was never an option. The whole country would have gone on strike. I don't know why you guys believe they were afraid of that. Sounds like disinformation.

You can't criticize HR ladies like you couldn't criticize immigration. Until suddenly you could. Trust me, they're next for people to notice their negative impact. Nav Canada has an HR problem if guys are making $400k and they can't get anyone to fill those roles.

What disgust me is, every other union supported CUPE on this, openly. But we had to hide any company badge ? can't show support of our own colleague while alberta teachers could ?! The only communication we got about supporting our coworkers was to tell us to protect our own butts. All while the FA...

Every time a Air Canada senior executive goes on TV for an interview my concern that there are no adults managing this airline goes up. The COO sounds like he has less than 90 IQ and talks like he's an AI animated character. The CEO seems to be completely isolated from the struggles of the average C...

I hope ALPA joins the strike too if Section 107 is invoked. It's sickening that the Minister is the one who brought the No response to your wage offer like she's a corporate lackey. This has to end now or we're all screwed.

Because the lockout/strike hasn't started yet are they on the hook for all the passenger compensation? I wonder if we're about to get a new Labour Minister (again).
