Re: Dreamliner Down in India

Do the fuel cutoff switches have known issues moving on their own? The fleet should be grounded worldwide until a solution is implemented. 100%! You cracked the code! You should probably consult for Boeing. In the meantime, maybe stop your trolling on dead serious threads and stick to making up you...

Re: Radio Silence

I've applied to Fast Air/Vanguard, Missinippi, Perimeter, Skynorth, and Wings over Kississing already with not much luck. I've applied eastward to the other 703s and medevacs there too like, Air Bravo, Thunder, Wasaya, PAL, etc I've considered doing a trip to Winnipeg and handing out resumes in per...

Hiring Processes

Is there any reason why there’s not a standard hiring process among airlines? I’ve read on this forum some have sim evals, some have multiple interviews, some have cognitive testing, some in person interviews, some virtual etc. Are there any statistics to show doing or not doing any of these results...

Re: AC Express PVL flying?

Not trolling at all. PVL idents flying traditional JZA legs have just appeared across the board out west in and out of YVR since yesterday. You’re trolling. Jazz is 100% doing that flying. Just because Flightaware shows Provincial doesn’t mean Provincial is actually doing the flying. Provincial doe...

Re: “Under review”

Can anyone tell me how long the application stays on “under review” for Dash FO? No one likely knows. I just asked a colleague as she applied back last Fall. She said her application showed under review since then. Recently she got an email asking to reapply to the new Dash posting if she was still...

Re: Current Recruiting for FOs and DECs (2025)

The PAL Aerospace King Air Captains are “too stuck in their bush ways” to not succeed as Dash 8 FO? How does that make sense. Use all your experience to figure it out. Air Borealis and PAL Airlines share an MEC. Air Borealis pilots have DOH with PAL Airlines for seniority, pay, vacation. Aerospace ...

Harvs Air

Does Harvs Air do formation training? The news article said the collision happened during a training exercise which I interpret as both aircraft were doing an exercise together or with others.

Hey all, Based on the posting the initial review of applications started last week. Has anyone heard back yet re: first officer positions? If so, what is your TT and experience? Best The posting is still advertised with June 30th as apply by date. Maybe applications are reviewed as received. The ap...

Re: Current Recruiting for FOs and DECs (2025)

I think most if not all positions at all bases are fully staffed? A few guys got hired for YHZ DEC a few months ago, and a few FO's have come but they are all from Air Borealis or the MFC program I think. Nobody is leaving lately so not much hiring going on... latest seniority list only shows 9 guy...

Re: Current Recruiting for FOs and DECs (2025)

Hi Guys, Has anyone applied with PAL recently ? I got the feeling that everything takes forever, recruitment wise, with them. Anyone has some feedback? Cheers, H If you know someone it’s a short wait. That’s the case with any occupation. I’ve heard they’ve hired with less than 500 total time but by...

Re: 2025 Pilot Recruitment

Anyone has been cntacted for the hiring process lately ? What are your hours ? Cheers, H Sadly it’s not the hours but it’s who you know that gets you in most companies. I’ve see it at my 703 ops where low time first officers get in but captains didn’t. It’s like that in every occupation though. It’...

Re: Dreamliner Down in India

The airlines seem to demand low experience. My thinking is airlines think the low time newly licensed are more up to date on regs etc whereas more experienced people have not done the heavy study work of late that it takes to get one’s licences. That’s the companies desire... This is not true in an...

Re: Dreamliner Down in India

The aircraft would give you many warnings when thrust is pushed forward and the flaps aren’t selected. Perhaps incorrect WAT numbers? Perhaps dual engine failure on takeoff? Perhaps flaps retracted too early? Some other pilot error? Why was the gear not retracted? The FDR and CVR will tell the stor...

Re: Winter 2025 Hiring

No need for significant hiring. No DECs at Jazz, pool of upgradeable FO is small and long time captains are retiring so all they would end up with is excess FO positions. Hiring applicants who can upgrade quickly be most desirable? That may make excess FO positions initially but when they are quali...

Next classes planned for September and November I think, perhaps one in October as well.
Seems like a small class size during a crew shortage.

What type of accommodations and how long does Jazz provide them for new hires? Anyone care to share how they’ve dealt with not knowing which base assigned until day 2 of ground school and how moving family and getting the kids transferred from school to school with least amount of interruption.

Re: Jazz Approach state

It’s not that they don’t hire experience, it’s that any real experience is applying elsewhere that the pay is better! Jazz would gladly hire 3000 hour multi-turbine pilots if they applied and were a good fit, surprisingly Jazz has not really lowered the hiring traitors to anyone with a pulse despit...
