Re: Hawker on Fire in Sandy Lake

The pumps they use are a standard 2 inch water pump. I fixed many of them. The difference between a water pump and an explosion proof one are bronze internals, a shield on the muffler to prevent it getting sprayed with fuel and a sealed aircraft style ignition system. They are slower and aren't Hon...

Re: This can't be good

Go for it. You already realize things might not be easy as they were for the past couple of years. Do well in your training, keep your ear to the ground and keep in contact with your friends you make along the way. Last year Jazz was hiring right from Flight schools, it may have stopped for now but ...

Re: Bearskin On-Line Application

I think you would get a call soon if you meet the min requirement. Bearskin is a decent company but if I was going there I would try and have all the requirements for the ATPL. Upgrades have been happening in a year or less but some have been passed over because of total time and atpl's.

Murray , I could give you testimonials from a lot of pilots that you guys are the most inefficient ATC around. We love it when we have to set up for a different runway every time we are handed off. Maybe if you guys could get that straight there might less confusion in the cockpit. Also if I remembe...

I know someone who was missing a logbook with his first few hundred hours. He was asked about it in the AC interview and explained his situation. He did not think he would get a call back because of this but was contacted for a medical and course date. It would not hurt to ask the people you flew wi...

Aviator 20 , if you are getting some good multi-time instructing I would stay at it till at least 500 hours and then look elsewhere. After that I would try an operation like Georgian, Voyager, some where that you can get some multi-turbine time and possibly get an upgrade in decent time. You might e...

Thanks Haddock, I have heard the same about going early. Can you do the 2 hour course on the same day or do you have to wait in line for that.

Red Pass at the GTAA

Has anyone gone for a Red Pass lately? I heard the process is a nightmare and that people are waiting hours to get thru. Any suggestions?
