Re: Jets at 'The Island.'

I would love to take a HS748 down to the Island some day, just let it idle there for hours, or taxi it around aimlessly. Followed by increasing MU-2 flights down to the Island, again, just taxiing aimlessly and doing NTS tests. Just to see what the downtowns reaction is to hearing those turboprops....

Re: Turkey shoots down Russian fighter...

Please share a link to a source containing Russia's "inaccurate reporting records". You seem very certain about the accuracy of Turkish reports, or is it just your personal believes? This has been pretty widely reported. See for example: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-08-12/inside-russia's-troll-f...

Re: Turkey shoots down Russian fighter...

The Russians crossed less than 2 mile of airspace. Yet Turkey claims 5 mins? Pretty sure it wasn't an airship the Russians were flying. Did Russia provoke, sure, perhaps not intentional given the look at the rest of the flight path. Was the Turkey shooting justified? Absolutely not! The rebels kill...

Re: Turkey shoots down Russian fighter...

FWIW Russia says it was shot at 1 km from the border and crashed 4km inside syria. Ain't Physics a bitch Yep, the missile was fired while it was over Turkish territory, but didn't hit it until it had left Turkish airspace: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34912581 Russia has published an a...

And as mentioned above -- all about man power -- I road in a russian helicopter at the n pole and crew of 5 -- pilots only steered the aircraft -- navigator would set the heading bug and the pilot would maintain the heading -- over the years I have observed the same -- they had a 757 clone in europ...

Western Canada Heli Crash (March 2012)

Anybody knows any details of this accident? Do you read your writing before posting it here? How can you compare a C172 and a commercial JET??? Did you want me to get into details of the fuel system on a 172? Besides don’t take anything personal on this forum nor related to anyone who designed TU154... Cheers I'm comparing it to the commerci...

Re: Russian pilot competes with "Sully"

Wow, no engine driven fuel pumps! And so many other systems without redundancy! Apparently it doesn't have a RAT either. This is NOT a Cessna 150 that you fly at the local flight club. This aircraft, as many western types has a complex fuel system, which consists of many sections in each wing,a tank...

Re: Russian pilot competes with "Sully"

PS-90A - Relax... Not everyone has a maintenance manual for a TU-154M on their coffee table. Nor should they. Clearly the aircraft lacked the required degree of redundancy on this day, as proven by the video above. I am relaxed. And who said i have a maintenance manual on my coffee table or elsewhe...
