Honest question. Does Wasaya and Bearskin pilots bring over their seniority date through the Jazz APP program?

Re: Any news on the fatigue regulations recently?
It is expected that the new regulations will be published in CG2 by the summer with a two year implementation for 705 and a 4 year implementation for everyone else.
That’s from a March briefing from TC.

Re: GGN Interview Questions
A SIM evaluation script is sent to the candidates with the confirmation of the interview. We are not looking for PPC standards on the eval. We are looking for basic IFR, teamwork and improvement from the first two minutes to the last two. For candidates that are coming from our SOAR partners, or for...

Re: GGN Interview Questions
Hi, Nightbirds comments on pay and GDOs is accurate for the CRJ. The 1900 has 11 GDOs per month and is more of salary based system because you are guaranteed 100 hours per month. There is the ability for OT on both fleets. The interview process has three steps for both the CRJ and 1900: 1.Situation ...

Re: Air Georgian
Hi, We have a few commuters from the lower mainland and commuter schedules are available on your bid. Reserve is based on seniority and while lower on the list, a pilot could expect 15-18 days. With the movement in the industry, a pilot’s seniority rises quickly and a reserve schedule would likely o...

Re: Questions on Air Georgian CRJ latest interview process
Hi, There are now SIM evals for the RJ positions. The interview is fairly straightforward. Questions on topics such as: Why do you want to work at AGL; Short an long term goals; Customer service; SOP compliance; Conflict management; and Lesson learned. AGL is hiring between 10-15 pilots every month ...

Re: Air Georgian " hiring under 800TT?"
Sim Evals are fairly straight forward. T/O, hold, engine failure, ILS and landing.
You are paired with another candidate and given an abbreviated SOP as a part of your interview invite.
Sim evaluations are now for RJ candidates as well.

Re: GGN 1900 schedule?
There is that option but it is seniority based bidding. Most of the senior pilots like the shorter pairings.
We do have a large commuter base that like the longer pairings.

Re: GGN 1900 schedule?
Hi,
11 GDOs per month. Pairings are 2-5 days long. Average duty period around 11 hours per day, with some that are longer than 13 hours. Will probably be around 700 flight hours per year.

Re: GGN CRJ Captain
Better get real familiar with the Air start/cross bleed procedure if you want to go fly the RJ there. I think if one was to listen to Toronto Apron frequency 122.07, you would hear Air Canada, Rouge, Sky as well as Georgian all ask to start one at the gate from time to time.......but you never hear...

Management doesn't care if you commute or not, as long as you are rested and ready to go when you start your pairing.

Yes to commuting. There are quite a few pilots that work for AGL that live in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

Re: GGN CRJ Captain
It depends on what your short and long term goals are. If your plan for regional flying is short term before going to a mainline carrier (AC) given that 80% of Air Canada's hiring is coming from Express, a DEC position at AGL might be a better fit for you. If it's over 5 years at regional, Jazz migh...

Hi, The posting is intended to recruit Captain's that are flying Dash 8s, ATRs, Dornier328s, SAAB340s or in the corporate world and looking for a set schedule. After 15 months of promoting internally, the average time of the FOs are starting to get a little low to support the projected 2018 attritio...

Hi,
Saab and most 1900 pilots are based in YVR.
2 1900 Captains and First Officers are based in YYJ, and 2 Capts and FOs in YPW.
Float pilots are all in YZT.

If interested in a Seplane position, send in a resume Attn Gord Jenkins. The first job offer would likely be a seasonal June - September. The right candidate may be offered a perm FT position over the winter if a position is available.

It is incredibly rare to hire off of the ramp into the Seaplane division due to our area of operation, size of aircraft, and weather decisions related to flying on the central coast. That said we do have a good guy who is trained on the Beaver from the ramp and is gaining experience with our Chief P...

Credit rates range from $30-40ish/ credit for FOs depending on PIC time on date of hire and the Captains range from $60-75ish per credit dependng on Saab or 1900. Average monthly schedule is 15-17 days per ...

Re: ATTENTION all 702 703 Operators!
To say just raise prices is quite unfair, there is always a tipping point to A) price yourself out of the market because your customer can no longer afford you or B) price yourself to allow for competition to enter the market. Pilots - look on the bright side, if this NPA goes through as is it will ...
