Re: 2010 season.. hows it looking?

To all the noobs. If you want a job get in your car/truck and get out there and shake some hands. This world is run by people not by paperwork :) If i were hiring a pilot i'd either want a solid resume n ref's or for a low timer, meet him/her in person... Sending off resume's is second best, and the...

Re: Getting a Work Visa in Canada

Yeah will do. It's incredibly hard to work this out.
There are so many variables and pedantic conditions. Especially for a pilot (no degree??? hmm, etc etc) I want to stay in this wonderful part of the world (bc). Thanks for the help.

Getting a Work Visa in Canada

Hi, So my situation; Just about completed my CPL with 35 hours on floats and a 3000nm x-country in the bag. I am on a student visa which will run out fairly soon. To get a work visa i need; a prospective employer (job offer) and for said employer to apply for a labour market opinion.. Then with both...

Yeah, personally im pretty confident i can handle a taildragger. Getting over 30 hours on floats has also sharpened my rudder skills. My goal is to eventually get into firefighting, via Agricultural flying. So floats and taildraggers for me, all the way.

I think 5 hours is the norm.

And if the prices aren't too restrictive, id love to take you up on that offer.

I've had a look around but cant find any prices for 152 aerobat rental yet....

Some things i have learnt, for what there worth; When flying over gross and you loose your engine, glide speed is reached only at a very steep angle of descent. When heavy and in rough water always sail with the engine still ticking over, as the rear of the floats may dig in and take on water quickl...

The 50 hour float course makes you a lot more hire-able than the 7 hour course. (are there others in-between?)

Its hard enough for a private pilot to get insurance with the 7. Plus it would be homicide to send a 7-hour'a into the industry.

Plz share coaster :)
