Re: Bonds at companies also doing lay offs.

Every bond I've seen releases the pilot in the event of a layoff. You haven't seen wasaya's bond then. Temporary layoff and you find employment elsewhere you pay out the bond. IMHO wether you are temporarily laid off or full time layoff if a company can't suck it up and pay you for 3 months to keep...

Re: Encore's Pay and Work Conditions

The industry as a whole is going to suffer for years to come by people accepting a wage this rediculous. For a group of people (im talking about all pilots) that are supposed to be able to think ahead of the aircraft and and never get behind it while in control we sure have let the industry slip bey...

Re: nakina 208

Apparently they seem to go through A LOT of pilots. I haven't heard that, I have heard it's not that bad an outfit. But I don't know anyone working there right now so I can't say for sure if it's good or bad. Was hoping someone on this forum with first hand info could clear that up or shed some lig...

I'd be interested to know this info as well if anyone has any input? I've heard lots of secondhand hearsay, but some actual info from those informed would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Training bond case law.

The bond is actualy not that bad, but I know I could get more money once I get the training...they talk about rising thw wages but i dont really thrust them. As for not signing the bond, there's way too many people with absolutly no spinal cord around here to make it work... anyone with the answer ...

Re: Sunwing- Hiring Pilots from Germany

Not at all what I said or was suggesting Hedley. Would it not make sense to upgrade someone from within and place them with an experienced PIC? If not possible then I would say look elsewhere.

Re: Sunwing- Hiring Pilots from Germany

The big thing is that they are only needed for the busy winter season and it works out well for all involved. WTF? That fails to work for any pilot in Canada. If they can't find "qualified" personel, I would say they are hardly looking. I'm sure there are more than enough pilot's with the required ...

multi and ifr

I'm currently in NWO for the float season and possibly staying for the winter and would like to get my multi this summer during a lull in the float flying and get the ifr later in the fall. I'll most likely be in winnepeg to do it and am just trying to decide between Harv's or perimeter. I see a lot...

Don't know about gets off well with a load.....compared to the seasoned bush planes. I've seen them scream down the lake before getting airborn. However, never flown one myself. Talk to the guys who've flown them though, they do have good things to say about them. I just don't buy into the load rati...

Because pilots are lazy and here in yrl the mf is 22.3, it's much easier to only dial up another .5, rather than 4.4!

If you can buy a ppc, you can obviously feed yourself and your family, so don't think you're getting any sympathy here my friend. Either suck it up, or get out.
