Re: Air Canada Pool

A little "DaveP" would go a long way in this thread.

Re: Air Canada Pool

Any truth to the rumour that new hire classes have been cancelled/reduced to the end of 2016 due to training capacity limitations?

Has anyone who received the 'good' OTS email in April been interviewed yet?

Please share with the rest of the class. I would love to hear you tell Miami ATC that you need a diversion in CAVOK for the possibility of CAT.

Stop ruining this thread with the degree discussion.

Re: Co-pilot time for ATPL

Right. But the issue being discussed isn't changing the training, development and mentoring of AT pilots. What's being discussed is dropping/significantly reducing existing requirements without concomitant enhancement of any of the others. They're making the license LESS WORK to achieve. Nothing is...

Re: Co-pilot time for ATPL

I value your assessment of the mix of experience types that you've seen make well-rounded pilots that can take responsibility for an airplane. This thread isn't about that though - it started out as a paperwork issue, and now it's a hate-on for guys that didn't put up with the shit that someone else...

Re: Co-pilot time for ATPL

Even if the regulation changes, I'm going to wait until I get 3000 hours before I get my ATPL, so that this thread doesn't apply to me. Why? There is absolutely no upside to that. You just look less marketable than everyone else around you with the same time. Tongue in cheek. I would wait so that I...

In what ways does your experience differ from the expectations you had when you got into it, that leads you to feel less than satisfied?
