Re: Air Mikisew shut down?
My viewpoint of this is strictly a political issue, and Courtesy Air was simply a safety issue. Two totally different scenarios. Air Mikisew's safety record is pretty good, but when you look at Courtesy's chronic problem of keeping planes in the air, it's not hard to differentiate the issues.

fire resistant carpet
Does anyone know the TC req's for replacing interior carpet? I can't find it in their web site.
I know they reference a FAR requirement, but I would like to know the specs of the carpet I need to order.
Thanks

I've finally had enough of strega's mindless drone chatter. It's mostly inane, but sometimes he does have good points. I am just curious, why contribute to a topic, when you have no first-hand experience? I've kept quiet for a long time watching you tell us that we are not 'engineers' according to y...

sweet jeebus strega! Have you ever been privy to getting any 'hawker slime' on you? Have you worked on them, or have any first hand experience? The more you type, the less I am impressed. Perhaps we should find a 'ring-bearing engineer' to figure this problem out. I do have one question for you thou...

I can't find anything about waking up with a cotton mouth, splitting head ache, and the shakes, even though some old timer pilot still drank you under the table, and he is now out bucketing like everything's normal.
If you find the solution, let me know.

ICS doesn't offer E training, and the Kilroy's is quite lame. I wouldn't waste your money.

Re: St Albert airport, runway will close June 15th
I'm betting its just pure economics. The airport is not profitable, and some developer want to turn the land into housing or a business park or something. I am just guessing on that, but i would put money on that being the situation. I doubt housing will go in with a few heli companies based there....

Re: Pilots vs Engineers- at Your place
I am starting to see how a chief pilot's attitude affects his/her underlings. I have been in enough hangars to prove my theory. If the CP takes a friendly, proactive approach to communication with maint., then most likely so will the rest of the pilots. If you have guessed it, I am an ame, not a pil...

I was not impressed by the quality of the NS M course after working with one of the grads. I am upset that TC approves these training org's that are based out of someone's backyard.

Re: dealing with inept manager
The interesting part is that he wouldn't let me sign out releases. That's fine, I realize he may want 3 months before issuing an aca, but then again, I had more time on big iron and 705 type than he would ever see. So in effect, my name is not attached to anything, no signatures. Unless he decided t...

Re: dealing with inept manager
I agree, and think it would be career suicide. I simply walked away from the bs, and now have to move my family to another job. I feel that those costs are a lot less than the mental anguish of dealing with the bs. I, as an individual, feel helpless and insignificant against this. More simple to walk.
