Re: What do you expect in terms of wages/celery

It took a few years but I think I've earned a pretty good wage. Could always be more!
I really don't think you can equate wages with geography, where you live is a personal choice.
Like the song says." If you don't like what you got why don't you change it, "

Worked there for a little bit, not too bad. Wages are negotiable, trust me. I suggest you get in there get some installation experience ,learn the standard practices, and get some troubleshooting experience when you screw up. You'll get your logbook filled out as you are doing the installations. You...

Usually these threads are filled with guys saying "don't do it" I can only give you my perspective as an operator that there is no profession in this industry more needed desperately than good AME's. I've been searching for a good one for a long time and have yet to find anyone. There is no other p...

The structure has probably become magnetized, try degaussing the area to neutralize the magnetic field. Happens a lot.

Under the new Licencing system, he can keep writing until he passes it. All he has to renew is his application. Not like the old system where he would have to write all of them over again if not completed in a year. Since he has to write the transport exams he has been out of college a while,because...

Haven't worked there myself, but know people who have. They say the company is alright but they wanted to get away from the travel so they could see the kids every day. So I guess they are having a difficult time finding young single people to do rotations here and there. ??

Re: M1 M2 license at the same time

Apply for both. You don't need a seperate log book, I've used the same book for 3 ratings. That's why you list the A/C the task was done on. Tire on M1 A/C ,1 entry. Tire on M2 A/C, 2 enrties. Tire #1 + Tire #2 = M1,M2. Then you need the time, 24 months ???? or whatever it is.
Good luck

is the standard practices for airframe and engine and avionics same or is it different? Different Exam, but then again it would have to be, really wouldn't be fair to the M Guy's giving them an exam like that :P  Seriously though, I have written Standard Practices for both an E rating and for ...

If a Nav Receiver is replaced that is what gets released. If a Phase Inspection is completed, that is what gets released. If a...

Have had opportunity to work for places where the logbooks are set up like that. Now I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that it's only the way the book was printed at the Companies request. There is probally a spot after each line for an AME's signature, date, Licence/ACA number right? Well once ...
