yeah, i was just trying to say that "there isnt much difference between a guy with 7 hours and a guy with 50 hours" when it comes to knowledge, weather its 7 or 50, its just enough time to get yourself into alot of trouble. But just like you were saying......there is a BIG difference when it comes t...

Quote: The 50 hour float course makes you a lot more hire-able than the 7 hour course. Completely false. I know everyone has already said it but..... "How does that make any sense??" Think about it, "who is going to be CHEEPER to insure?" Some with 7 hours or someone with 50 hours?? It's all about ...

I think that there are still float jobs out there, I know a few people that have taken road trips across N Ont. this time of year and found places that are looking for pilots. So if you have a way to drive through Northern Ont. that may be an option to finding a job. (I know it has worked for some p...

Whats wrong with being 27, I was in school with some people that age and they landed pretty sweet jobs right out of school. And what your doing is what ALOT of people do, get their licence at an aviaiton college and find jobs right away.

So.......Go for it............

Fire Situation in Northern Ont?

I just left Tbay a few weeks ago, and just after I left there was a fire right close to the airport. I was just wondering how the forest fire situation is right now? Has there been many throughout northern ont? I know it was dry as heck the last few weeks I was there, and that 415's were already on ...

I dont really have any experience myself, unlike the tons of experience that 185_guy and rudder bug have, but my advice would be to find a really good company, big or small, bush or IFR, that treats their emplyees really well, and has room to advance within the company. Thats what I did (with some h...

IFR

I just did my IFR a little while ago, my advice would be to read everything that has to do with IFR in the AIM, it might take a bit, but there is alot of usefull info in there. And like everyone said, go through the aerocourse. Read through the CAP gen. and the Air Command Wx. Manual.

Good Luck.
