Re: RAIC Exam Question
Its snarling remarks like you and your buddies that give Avcanada its negative and cynical connotation to which people simply role their eyes in embarrassment at the very mention of this forum.

Nationwide Pilot Union - Is it Possible??
Was talking to my sister, and she told me she makes 60k a year and teaches grade 1! That plus a full pension. Thats 25K more than me and I fly airplanes with passengers. It is not the individual airline companies fault. Their variable costs are reflective of their pricing which must be competitive w...

No different than any other FO salary anywhere else. Its not generally a position that will make you rich, so no point in asking.

Newfies / Labradoreans are the nicest and most sincere people I have ever met.
The best time of my life was living in Goose Bay flying for Air Labrador. I will never forget it.

Nolinor's salary is actually a joke too for FO's. 30K per annum.
I once went to their interview and it lasted 1 hour only. Could you not ask them to book your interview in the early morning or the after 4 pm?

Re: Why the USA sucks
I think any Canadian who thinks they hate Americans are more than likely unaware of history's WW1 & WW2, Cold War and the domino effect it had leading up to today's global reality. Simply put, Americans are our brother-ens. We share common Christian values with them as both countries like to choose ...

The money gauging does not end with First Air... Air Inuit charges $2400 for a round trip to Montreal from one of the Northern communities. The Inuit people are outraged there too. I would Love to see Jazz or Westjet come and takeover that Montreal-Kuujjuaq-Iqaluit sked that first Air has had for so...

Re: Air Aprint VS. Ornge - PC-12
OK everyone.. thank you for your opinions. I think I will take Air Sprint. The money isn't as good, but getting an upgrade to a Citation is nothing to ignore. Living in Montreal is much better than Sioux Lookout. So my standard of living will be good. The only thing is job security which is probably...

Re: Air Aprint VS. Ornge - PC-12
Yes... well staying living in Montreal and the possibility of upgrading to a Citation are both extremely very compelling arguments. I'm just wondering how viable the charter business will be in the next several years with this economy. Having a family forces you to take into account these other aspe...

Re: Air Aprint VS. Ornge - PC-12
Hey thanks for that response Beach King air. Good info from that. My biggest concern is to do with job security. I have a family, and from what I understood about the charter business... is they are suspect to economic downturns. So I would hate to go with Sprint... only to be laid off in a few mont...

Air Aprint VS. Ornge - PC-12
Have a job offer with Ornge. Got an interview lined up with Air Sprint. Both for PC-12.
In your mind... which company is better?
Ornge is based in Sioux Lookout. Air Sprint is based in my home town Montreal.
Also, any tips for the Air Sprint interview.
Many thank in advance.

Yes they are in...
We will see what happens. Price just doesn't have the mental fortitude to steal some games for us though. I wouldnt be surprised if they play Halek game 2 or 3 in Boston.
Markov.... crossing my fingers for him to come back early.

Well guys... in the end... I did not take the position. I turned down the interview. You are right, its just not mathematicaly possible to live with any kind of dignity in Vancouver for 19k a year. I think this job is more geared fora pilot coming out of school. who still lives with their parents. (...

Re: Who here thinks the Canadiens have a shot at the cup?
Yeah.. your absolutely right. With Florida's loss tonight, I think the statistical probabilities are on our side to make it. I personally do not think we will beat Boston. Pitsburgh... is a toss up. Maybe they will already be solidifed in there position by then and wont bother playing Crosby or Malk...

Well... for sure with Price... you never know what kind of athlete will show up. The main conspiracy behind his dismal play of late.. and his rattled conscience.... are reports saying he fucked around with some 14 year old lolita. He was being threatened of perhaps getting charged.. or who knows... ...

Who here thinks the Canadiens have a shot at the cup?
As soon as Gainey took over this team as head coach... I felt that we were going to turn around and possibly surprise everyone in the playoffs. 1) Our top line... wow.. they are unstoppable right now. 2) We have our shutdown line now with Higgens, Lapierre and Latendresse. By far the best 3rd line i...

Yeah... guilty as charged.. I am considering it.
If my wife works... it might be able to work out though. In 2 years time, I can probably go on to West Jet with Metro time. So I'm kind of looking down the road.
