Re: 2022 - Operations Manager salaries

Also curious to know how salary can be structured for that kind of job. I am starting the exact same kind of job and currently billing per hour / per day of flying.

If anyone has some info you can pm me

Thanks!

Re: Air Inuit

Air Inuit is definitly not on the same level as other Northern Carriers.

Some F/O on the ATR at First Air make a Dash 8 Captain's salary with Air Inuit.

Air North Pilot Salary

Hello Avcanada,

Anyone has the current salary and working conditions for pilots at Air North?
It seems like a great work balance place to be.FYI mostly looking at the senior positions as I have over 6000 hours and spent most of my time flying up North.

Thanks

Re: Twin Otter Beta Use in Flight

We have lots of experience pilots on offstrip operations. Many strips are no longer then 600-800 ft. None of them use beta before landing to get in. It is in my opinion a bad and unsafe practice. Good thing to know thats all.

Air Inuit also offers that kind of lifestyle with rotations on a 2 on 2 off timeframe.

I sent a pm for the people that contacted me. Pour ce qui est des conditions c'est probablement le meilleur opérateur de king air / twin otter au pays. Présentement avec l'embauche des grosse compagnie comme Air Transat nous perdons des pilotes d'expérience alors le jeu de la chaise musical bouge ra...

Starlink and Boeing 737

Hello Avcanada,

Lets start the rumors going once again, there is a posting for a line check Captain on a 737-200, they are asking for experience with gravel runway. I am wondering what might be going on.

Re: World's Shortest Scheduled Flight

Ive always thought the route from Montmagny to l'isle au grues QC is the shortest scheduled flight. I am sure the record time is pretty close to a minute too.

Maybe Gilles could gives us numbers. I cant remember how fast I was doing it.

Re: Am I too old to instruct?

Most of the guys at my flight schools where doing between 400 to 800 hours per year. It was a pretty busy FTU. I saw most of them leave after about a year or two. They would get into some navajo, king air, pc12 small operator kind of thing. Some of them where more in a rush to go fly the big jets and...

Re: Am I too old to instruct?

Hello, You might see it as an advantage at least on the instructing side. I started giving instruction I was 19, I can assure you that it was much harder for me to get people's confidence then someone around the 30's. I have seen couple of instructor starting at ages around the 40's. I am not tellin...
