Re: Study gouges
[b]Hertford: Some free advice: Turn down the intensity. I don't know what you've been smoking, but having been to my share of indocs, companies don't invite 30 people to groundschool and expect 8 to make it to the line, firing people for everything from weak tests scores to the way you dress....

Re: Study gouges

Fawk your shit all together, if your sitting in a ground school you are employed and it is their job to train you... where your wrong is that one should do their home work before the hireing process so that they are more appealing to the employer
Horunner, It would be nice if there were enou...

Re: Study gouges

Hi Eastside, I hate to sound rude but the book you are referring too certainly isn't a long read by any means, it will actually be a great resource for you should you find yourself in your first Turbo Prop ground school with the 25 other candidates trying to fill the 3 available spots. Inform yourse...

Re: New guy - appalled

Hey There new guy, This is a tough industry make no mistakes about it! I was just like you at first, I was fed the usual BS from flight schools about a pilot shortage and an excess of jobs, I even read one article that stated (printed in 2005) by 2010 there will be 3 jobs to every pilot blah blah bl...

Re: Who is hiring?

So I guess I'm not the only one feeling the pinch of the economy and lack of jobs available. Hopefully things turn around this spring/summer but I'm not holding my breath. The crappy part about all this is that with a lack of jobs and demand for work so high, all that great progress we made last yea...

Re: What would you do

I have to agree with the majority and say stay where you are, unless you think you're gonna get tanked don't move, times are tight and upgrades are nice. Trust me being unemployed and trying to find work blows, although you can catch up on all the missed seasons of 24 and lost!! Stay put and enjoy t...

Re: Where do you even start?

The corporate world can be just as volatile as the airline world with the exception that you don't have a union to warn you of upcoming lay offs. its like they say the first thing to go when the economy tanks is the private jet i felt that first hand this year got the call a month after buying my ne...

How hard should you lean on CP's

HI I have been job hunting for the past month following the guidelines as they are listed on the PCC website, specifically the no phone calls routine but haven't had much success. I've had a few return emails from some of the more established companies giving me the standard thanks but we are not lo...

Thanks for the info, I guess what I'm really trying to find out is which school would have the best combination of being busy, as in a good student base and also has a good working atmosphere. As well which of these schools will be facing a dilemma come September when the new regulations take effect...

Instructing in the GTA

Hi, I'm looking to do my instructor rating around the GTA; no real preference where except to gain employment afterwards. I was considering spectrum airways out near burlington simply because they posted a job opening here on the employment section. any tips or suggestions would be really appreciate...
