Re: Looking for a ground flight instructor near Buttonville Airport
I'm looking for a "tutor".
My TC requirements are done.
I'd rather give the cut to the instructor who is actually doing the work than giving it to the school.

Looking for a ground flight instructor near Buttonville Airport
What is the best way to find a good ground flight instructor near Buttonville?
I don't want to walk into a school and pick an instructor because the school is taking a huge cut.

I hold PPL but haven't flown for years now due to $$$.
I would love to go for a flight if you got an empty right seat.
I could be your second set of eyes
This would motivate me a lot.
Please PM me if you are willing to help.
Thank you very much.

Re: @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ Float Rating in Onta
First, I also think that there should be an actual flight test for float rating, but that's just what you and I think. But what are our thoughts based on? From personal experiences? Do we have any data to prove to TC that the flight test must exist? It's always easy to call the TC guys morons, when ...

Any operator certified by TC should be good enough.
Just because someone does it cheap,
doesn't mean that they do their job bad.

Re: @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ Float Rating in Onta
I guess you two guys went to private schools, because from what I'm seeing here, you guys aren't so cheap on your education and are always looking for the best. Free simple lesson in economics guys. Any resource is limited. Anything I save from my rating, I can invest on something that I'm actually ...

Now that I got your attention with @s, I'm looking for the cheapest float rating in Ontario. Q1: Who does the float rating cheapest in Ontario? Q2: Where can I get the list of schools that do float rating in Ontario? Q3: Does it get cheaper as it gets close to winter? If so, when would it be the che...

Can anyone take me on a flight?
I recently got a brand new headset and I'd like to test it on a plane. I'm licensed, but not current. I was wondering if there are any generous pilot here who could take me on a flight. I really don't care if it's a dual with your instructor or solo. I'll be quiet at the back if you want me to. If y...

Re: This is what is wrong with the Canadian aviation industr
Yep. It was from Facebook. I tried to hide my source, because I didn't want to reveal the name of the original author of the text. I also said it was from a website and not from a Social Network Services. But I bolded the company's name, because I wanted everyone to know which operator is treating p...

Re: Lightspeed's new headset, Sierra
Yeah, I also thought that LS may put a better ANR module in the Sierra since it's a newer product. From who did you hear about it?? Is it a reliable info?? I asked this same question some time ago at an aviation supply store, and they weren't too sure on the actual difference you hear in the ANR, bu...

Lightspeed's new headset, Sierra
Lightspeed Sierra came out with a new, cheaper headset. Lightspeed Sierra. It's about $200 cheaper than the Zulu. I googled for a few hours and found out that the main differences were; - Sierra was a few grams heavier - The ear cup is made out of plastic (Zulu's is made out of Magnesium) [not sure ...
