Re: Best guess when recalls could happen

Curious, 77 recalls but 600 layoffs. MMM, why would there be recalls in this case?

Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights

Ya'll need to chill out. Did 320 say fetch a cup of coffee? Yes, right after all the AC guys keep hammering on about how we bring down the industry and that we are nothing. So if you take that as coming for your jobs, than you need to re-read the thread, be open minded about the prospect and how we ...

Correct. However I do not believe it would be to hard for any airline to get protection when they show that at current cash flow rates there will be zero cash in 5-6 months.

First of all companies can just declare CCAA, they have to prove in court why it’s required and open the books.

Re: Air Canada threatening to cut A220 orders....

Agree with everything you say, with the exception of the 87. I believe you will see the 777 gone before the 87 as the 8 is much more efficient to operate in these times. Putting 400 people on a plane to go somewhere right now will be difficult, whereas 260 is much more feasible. Look no further than...

Chapter 11.

While all the Canadian airlines have a healthy bank account, I feel (only due to my pure hatred of the liberals) that all companies should file Chapter 11. Could you imagine the shit show in YOW if AC, WS, TS, Sunwing and the likes say enough is enough we can't shed anymore, only way out is Chapter ...

Nah with the loads we have, we are usually lower altitudes to start so the faster traffic will over take early on. Once we start to climb up it’s a none issue.

A buddy just came back from recurrent in Florida via YYZ. During the questioning the customs officer went to their supervisor in reference to the quarantine as they did not understand. The response was have a good day, your exempt.

The fact he does not have to quarantine surprised me actually.

I agree FL320. Our Unions/Reps here are crap. It blows my mind that the only communications that we get from ALPA are reminders that pilot assistance is available. How about we are planning a rally to show support and that we are struggling, how about a notice of this is what we are working on. I do...

Their is no such regulation. I love when ground staff say things such as this to crew members who have been commuting for ages and operate the planes. Re: Good Riddance GGN

So essentially GGN declares bankruptcy, while starting a #'d company. #'d company purchases all assest's at pennies on the dollar while the title GGN goes down in flames. This reminds me of when Ken Buchannan of Buchannan forest products went down with the lumber tariffs. Transferred all assets whic...

And than there is this. There is so many variables at play in this chess game that nobody has any idea as to how it is going to play out. I can't see it happening in this economic climate, but I am just a lowly pilot so what do I know. https://montreal.ctvnews.ca/air-canada-says-it-s-not-backing-out...

Nothing in our CBA stating 120 months, not sure where you got that from. In the CBA you can take a personal leave up to 6 months.
