C-HRIS its funny you mention NAC because that was the company my buddy got on after just 8months of the ramp. Cat thank you for making me picture the horrific picture of gonnorrea  . I agree 1000% (i didnt make a mistake and add another 0) that a company saying they can "feel you out" by having...

Re: What would you do? (Class 4 renewal)
Question...
Is taking the refresher course an automatic renewal..as in is there some sorta exam in order to pass? Or is it just take the 3-4 day course and its up to the descretion of the instructor?

Re: What do you think of PROIFR?
Personally, I think the training you get VFR isn't very different from school to school. Typically the biggest problems i've seen is aircraft availability and how the school is run. (yes yes there is always the "useless" instructor factor but usually they become the least busiest at the school, most...

Re: Fellow Instructors
As sad as it may seem, I somewhat feel better (If that makes any sense) Next question... From speaking with a few instructors i've noticed some FTU's don't pay a base, only pay per flight/ground bookings. Whats the norm here? Are instructors expected to stick around all day just hoping someone walks...

Fellow Instructors
To all new instructors Just wondering how the job hunt has been going. The job ads for instructors had a good spike on the job boards not too long ago. However it seems that everything is slow again. I've been sending and calling and visiting but not much going on. Any success stories out there? Am ...

Re: GOLD CANADA HOCKEY GOLD
From an earlier post about not wanting Team Canada to win... The Canadian goalie's day job is to look greasy and fall apart in the playoffs to the tune of 6 million. Looked pretty solid to me, say what you want about the goals (and you will cause thats what haters do...) What a game....in les...

Re: Anyone not cheering for team Canada?
The Canadian goalie's day job is to look greasy Care to elaborate on that? I honestly don't care who you do or don't cheer for, just kinda curious what this has to do with anything? Is it Luongo's fault that the league he is in pays the money they do to athletes as oppose to Pål Grotnes (the norweg...

Just curious if anyone knows what the payscale is for the people at Buffalo. Was watching the bio-videos on the website and a couple of them kept saying "good pay".

So let me gt this straight just so I know were on the same page. RCMP come into your backyard, kill your pet and you go outside and crack open a beer and say "good shooting with that peashooter of yours!"....right  Your opinion is yours bud, whatever helps ya sleep at night Have a Merry Christ...

Re: Global BC Story: Police Kill Dog
Like I said, I don't usually get involved in these RCMP threads. Having said that, im sorry but Nark YOU gotta be kidding me... You wanna do training and enter someone elses PRIVATE property without giving notice and your shocked that a dog attacks defending its territory? I don't give a damn if its...

Global BC Story: Police Kill Dog
WARNING: Some may be bothered by some of the visuals in this 2:15 video. The only part of the video that disturbed me was the BULLSHIT coming outta the RCMP's mouth. http://www.globaltvbc.com/video/index.html?releasePID=AjZdkoO12jhvIvRzf_V2BOyJ12FkWgTJ I don't usually get involved in the whole RCMP ...

Re: Ice Pilots of NWT Series on History Channel this Fall!
The attitude of the new female rampie is bugging me. Chicks in this industry can sometimes have a bad rap for getting ahead on nothing but tits and ovaries... and its a shit eating grin like hers that furthers the problem. Not ALL female pilots are like that and frankly I would hate to get ahead ba...

Fighthing Flight Test Results?
To start off im not fighting any flight test as this curiosity was brought on by something I read in a textbook. I never really looked into it but apparently if you have a case in regards to the way your flight test was conducted you can "fight" it. Obviously it has to be more of a reason besides no...

Good school, good instructors, good times! I highly recom...

Re: Ramp work or Class 4?
Lesser of two evils? I don't understand that. You became a pilot so you could FLY. Even if it is just a "measely 172". It's no different a starter job than flying pipeline patrol, flying jumpers, traffic watch. Another look at it, lets say you insturct for two years at the same place, and the FTU go...
