Medical...Been out of the aviation scene for a while

So I’ve been out of the aviation scene a very long long time. A little background, I’m a CPL holder who’s been out of the flying scene for 10-12 years. Life took hold and I had to put flying a side but I’m now in a very good position to get back into the saddle. Im set in a very good career outside ...
Here is some food for thought. If you hold a multi rating, and a single IFR, when you do a PPC on a multi it then becomes a group one.
Really? That I did not know!

Edit: my response sounds sarcastic, but it's not, I truly didn't know that!!

Re: Is a single engine ifr rating useless?

Ya the end result would be getting a job.

I'm just working out a game plan at the moment and doing a little research on the best way to go about it Given the current financial commitment and restraints.

Is a single engine ifr rating useless?

Just doing some basic research here and got wondering, is a single engine IFR rating pretty much useless?(I don't mean literally useless, but is it even worth getting if funds are limited at the moment and can't swing a MIFR)?

Thanks

Getting older, does life/work experience count for anything?

Hello folks!!! Not getting any younger, sitting at 32 years old with a CPL. Have been working in the same career for the last 10 years, outside of aviation, but a true "career" type job...tradesman, millwright and welder. I have solid life and work experience, as stated above in the trades working i...

Re: After being out of aviation, how would someone sell them

You've explained it pretty well Pop... It does consume your thoughts on a daily basis. I'm not really convinced that I would gamble it all yet on aviation but was more curious if in fact my industrial credentials would help at all. Millwright can be a decent job, but when your stuck in a mining smel...

After being out of aviation, how would someone sell themselv

Hello everyone, I was curious as to how someone would sell themselves on a resume after being out of aviation for 8 years, along with being a low time pilot (250hrs) and the bare minimum CPL, with a float rating? I've been in the industrial industry for nine years, so I haven't been useless to socie...

Re: Getting Back into Flylng.. documents advice needed

Just an FYI for anyone interested, you do not need a valid medical certificate to update your licence to the new booklet style, I know cause I updated my old blue paper licence to the new booklet style a month ago, and already received my updated licence without a valid medical, my medical expired 3...

Re: 30 to late for an attempt career as a pilot for the air

All good replies, thanks. I have been thinking of doing this for quite some time now, but it's only been a thought, now I am seriously contemplating it as I'm not getting any younger, and before I know it I'll be 60 thinking "damn, I should just went and did it"!! Another question before dropping in...

30 to late for an attempt career as a pilot for the air forc

Sorry my title reads as if it was written by a 3 year old, but there is only so much character space,

Anyways, about to turn 30 and looking at a career change, is it at all possible and feasible to try my luck and attempt a career as a pilot in the airforce??

Any thoughts on this subject?

Thanks
