Just found out that they will be combining 2 classes, the class that was supposed to start Jan 21st and the one on May 19th. Still no reason given, but I did find out that there will be 12 people on course!

So if your on it, you would have been notified by now!

There was no mention of anybody being booted from the course or anything like that, just apologizing for all the troubl...

If you can afford it, go FTU, just make sure it is what you want, and when you do start training, do it as fast as you can! In other words, don't fly just once a week, I'd shoot for 4 to 6 times a week! This way you'll attain your goals that much faster, you will spend less money and the learning pr...

Do you disagree with me, or with the assertion that colleges are for rich little daddy's boys?
I disagree with the statement that colleges are for rich little daddy's boys.

And if you agree with this statement, then I disagree with you also!

Their training is tailored to bush flying. You get 25 Hrs on floats, and they give you winter/bush survival training! WoooooHooo!!! hehehe I still think they should give you something more that you can use, it would be nice for them to add a third year and include multi-IFr and an instructor rating....

Don't let your age deter you man, I know a bunch of people who started flying who are 5-10 and even 15 years older than you!

approx. 215 hours, a commercial license with a float rating. They give you some instrument training, enough to get you to a level that you will pass the tc exams, but they don't give you the rating. When I left they had just installed a Baron 58 Sim, so I imagine you'd get some multi sim time as well.

Did these pilots that graduated from Georgian find jobs?
they did not graduate as pilots, some of them who did end up getting their license, do not work as pilots.

They all work in the industry though.

Nobody from my class were able to get their CPL during the entire 3 year course. a couple gave up half way, others went to Confed after graduating for Georgian, and others paid out of pocket after leaving Georgian to get their CPL.

Best bet, go Confed!
