Disgrace in CYYJ
Here's a new one to me. I fly a private Cessna 340 out of Alberta. On my way out of Tofino I had an engine problem and diverted to Victoria. I parked at the Shell on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct 24th. On Monday the 26th, the aircraft was towed to Victoria Air Maintenance. Upon finishing repairs, I...

Re: eAPIS - online US customs
I'd just like to know how serious they are about some of the info on the departure form. It wanted the addresses of the place my clients stayed. At this point I'm not willing to give them an interrogation, so I just wrote unknown. We'll see!

Re: "Poorly Paid, Often Tired, Junior Pilots"
That would be a great idea, Lurch.. if we lived in Soviet Russia. I see, as always, most people missed the point. I like my job. I don't get paid great, but I also don't get paid poorly. I left a job because they changed the wage structure and I didn't agree with it. What I'm saying is you can't wri...

Re: Kootaney Direct????
I heard one of the better ones from my liason to the office.. 'Should I get a hotel or are you going to send someone to pick me up?' 'Well.. what are you going to do up there? Do you stay with the mechanics and help fix the instruments? Is that what pilots do?' '...uh.. I'll probably just get in the...

Yeah I've been trying to get him to do that for years.. but he doesn't listen. I want a tweed coat on him while he's smoking a pipe, too. Maybe his boss could get him to do it. We'll have to find out who that is and get him to try.

Re: Kootaney Direct????
No relief tube in this one... don't know why. I'd prefer it if they could just be grownups and hold it for the whole 1.5 hour flight.. what a dream that would be.. but then, dreams are like rainbows.. only idiots chase them.

Re: Kootaney Direct????
Yeah these guys have me running to Ft Mac 5 days a week! I'll tell you coming out of retirement is terrible! hehe. Nah can't complain.. I'm home by 1pm. My only complaint would be finding bottles of urine in the backs of seats courtesy of my rig crew pax. I think some of them WERE born in barns. :| ...

You're right about B.A. ...he never visits.. but I'm like a bad penny, you know I'll turn up! I expect th...

How high can rig pigs go?
Winter is around the corner and with it comes snowflakes, Santa, and.. crew changes. So a question.. in unpressurized aircraft I find it's better to get up high and put these guys to sleep. I pose a question.. how high and how long can we go before these guys go into a coma or suffer any (obvious) b...
