Re: New School in CYYB?
So, here's the scoop! The new school is coming. It's going through it's approval with TC at the moment and could be up and running anytime. Rest assured anyone who used to be a student with AFC will likely be contacted by the staff of the new flight school (Comprised mostly of AFC staff). I won't gi...

Re: Brampton flying
Do NOT be fooled by prices. Always read the fine print. Most (but not all) flight schools will quote you a price based on the Transport Canada minimums. Very rarely does anyone complete the PPL requirements in just 45 hours. It's a marketing ploy that is dishonest at best. (Brampton loves that one) ...

Re: Changing flight schools, looking to train on floats HELP!!!
Sudbury Aviation Limited is likely one of the best schools around for that sort of training. However, this year they actually put their C172s on wheels and are operating out of the Greater Sudbury Airport. They are experimenting with it for this winter to see what happens. However, if you do decide ...

Re: Private Career Colleges Act & flight training
Things are in motion as we speak about this actually. We have lost 7 flights schools so far since the implementation of the PCCA. Most (but not all) of the flight schools in Ontario have formed the Ontario Flight Training Providers Association (OFTPA) to get together and tackle this issue and repres...

Questions: 1) Is there a 'form' letter that we can email to members of all Parties - best to bitch to all with an election coming and 2) is there an online partition started somewhere that we can sign? 3) Should we not get AOPA involved too? They seem to keep an eye up north because sometimes 'idea...
