Thank you Chowda for your thoughts, we have a kit in mind that a fellow flyer that owns a plastic turbo prop experimental is installing it.
My challenge is not getting the parts, it is putting all together.

Re: Becoming a AME with a criminal record
I think that if you paid for your crimes and are in good standing withe law, it shouldn't be a problem, but if you start advertising it, it will become a problem. If you advertise it its because either you are insecure and find it glorious, therefore not rehabilitated and potentially a problem. peop...

Re: Lancair ES type certificate ---Help Needed
Cessna TTX needs a type rating? Based on which criterion? I can’t see it in the list in the CARs. The TTX evolved from the Columbia 400/350/300 and from the experimental Lancair ES, I have requested an exception and let a local ES pilot train me and do the recomend. That wasn’t acceptable so the ne...

BD5 Down in Provost Alberta, Pilot Deceased
Monday afternoon a BD5 went down in Provost Alberta, the pilot was a 75 years old highly experienced aviation enthusiast, IFR certified and over 2000 hours, most of it in his Bonanza.
Out of respect for his memory and family I'm not releasing his name.
Rest in Peace!

The King Air was in fact operated by the Albatross group, possibly one of the best run AC Management organizations in Western Canada, the pilot is a very high time, highly experienced aviator with experience in a lot of heavy iron, I also know him personally as well as the owners, and all key people...

Huh, Iceland sounds cheaper. Seems odd. I have no idea how accurate it is but, I found an other site claiming Jet-A for even less there. Gentlemen, whatever price of fuel you find on the web will be irrelevant, when you operate a 737 you will negotiate a price based on quantity, I filled up an L-39...

Star57, I likke your thought process and I can think I am worth $80,000 a year all day long. However, if I live in a certain area of the counrty and have limited options for work and the company's going rate for a Captain is $60,000 a year for that job, and has been for 2 years, and has 50 guys who...

Re: Pilot pay
Well...let me give my 2 cents, before I go on please note that I'm not a Commercial pilot, just private. I'm glad that I did not pursue aviation when I was young, finished my PPL at 52, I guess that gives me some life experience. Enough about me, and let's talk about how things can change. First, pi...
