The 172 from Victoria was trucked out because of the damage to the leading edge caused by a sign post strike after the landing. The wing had to be reskined due to puncture and cave in so I dont think they were scared of flying off a road but slighty turned off of the idea of flying an obviously unsa...

And when you have that brand new tie on at the front counter waiting for your first possible students to come in so you can rip them off while you pad your log...please do them just one favour....show them a copy of this thread so they can make an educated decision if they wish to spend THEIR money ...

I flew with J at PRO in Victoria (the Lear guy). Knowing what I know now I should have paid him more. It was a luxury to have his experience and awesome instruction. Not only would he NOT...yes I said NOT waste my money if I showed up unprepared but when we were flying he threw in alot of real world...

I am sorry to hear 2 Lear guys got laid off in YYJ today. Sucks to hear about guys getting the cut one week before christmas. My old instructor was one of them but I dont know the other guy. J...take care man and keep at her. Makes me wonder how long I have till its my turn.

Invertago...I hear ya! I fell victim to the inspection game and yes it was hard getting the previously mentioned guys nailed down but I did and it was worth it . They teach cause they still WANT to! There is a full time CFI there as well but I dont know him. The CFI position changes alot at PRO YYJ ...

Pro in CYYJ may be a one plane show but they have an experienced roster of instructors. Graham (Flying Club CFI) is experienced in teaching everything! Jas teaches when he isnt flying the Lear and dont forget about the retired airforce general. There must be over 20,000 hrs of experience there to te...

Yes the Victoria flying Club has two instructors that can help you. Graham the CFI and Jason the ex PRO CFI (cyyj). They are both very experienced just hard to get as Graham is running a big show and Jason is usually tied up flying the Lear.
