Re: Cell phone/MP3 adapter for a Bose headset?
This works extremely well for me... http://www.ps-engineering.com/muse.shtml "The Muse" is rather expensive on the surface, but when compared to the cost of buying another headset (after spending a grand on the Bose), it is quite reasonable. Sure beats the hell out of wearing earbuds under the heads...

Re: PC-12 Engine Shut Down
I don't dislike the PC12. I don't agree with the way they are operated. Therefore, I wouldn't let any of my family members fly in one. And, that's my decision. Not yours. Not in a million years would I put my family on a PC12 IFR... Deal with it. Ok, ladies and gentlemen lets throw a hypothetical o...

Mr. North, you're entitled to your opinion. As for me having a backbone... I take as little shit from people as possible. Terry provided a piss poor working environment so I left. It's pretty simple. If you think it's such a great gig, without having worked there, then you and your friends are welco...

Its unfortunate but his attitude is why companies turn to bonds. If we as pilots are less than completely honorable we create an environment where the companies feel justified in asking for a bond. Fortis Risk, how long should I have stayed in order to be completely honorable? Should I have passed ...

"Keep your frigging word...it's all you really have" Wonderful how you assume I promised them something and then bolted... Didn't make a commitment. Didn't get paid for training... actually did all my 'training' on empty legs, so the company didn't spend any money training me. Gave my notice, they ...

Why on earth did you accept the position if you know your not a bush guy?!! If after 3 days it 'clearly wasn't working' for you why didn't you bow out then and allow someone else who wants to be there to take your place?! But I suppose Keeper River was good enough to hang your hat there while you l...

Don't quit halfway through like some pompous clown did last year. Pompous Clown? That's really funny. I worked there for 6 weeks last spring, leaving for more money, a PT-6 and far superior quality of life. Now if you're a float guy, and you're gunning for a Beaver then maybe it's a good gig but I ...

Re: PC12 VS King Air 200 (An interesting read)
By this person's logic: 2/370 x 100 = 0.54% chance of having a fatal accident in a PC-12. 11/1153 x 100 = 0.95% chance of having a fatal accident in a BE20. .95 / .54 = 1.75 So apparently you are 75% more likely to die in a King Air 200. Now, I don't believe this to be the case. I think analysis bas...

LifeJet, Would it not make sense to get any Medivac aircraft on the ground as quick as possible so it can stage for the next mission? Is speed not of the essence when it come's to a Medivac? Re: Unnecessary Medevacs? Post here
If the perception is that there are so many unnecessary medevacs why aren't there more guys/gals leaning back and asking if the patient is stable or not and give the rest of us a break when they continue with priority unnecessarily - it is a very rare day indeed that you will hear a medivac pilot a...

How about the classic 'Tylenol Shopping Trip'? I capitalize it since it's really a way of life. Pop a 1/2 a bottle of Tylenol(which doesn't do anything, btw), claim you had 4 bottles(4 might damage the liver a little bit), in comes the medevac, endure the charcoal treatment on the way to YWG, and p...

Re: Unnecessary Medevacs? Post here
MEDEVACs put money in the bank and hours in the book. Period.
Necessary, unnecessary, frivolous, or serious, if they tell me to go, and it's safe, I go.
Not my place to second guess the medical pros.
Look forward not backward boys and girls.
