Don't call it a "chopper". You won't fit in.

Whatever you do, DO NOT pay back with interest...once the actual amount is paid back tell them to pound sand bill is paid.

Interest is a Carson Air trick...enough said!

Re: AOC for sale

Air Operator Certificates are not transferable by sale. You can sell your company assets but the buyer has to qualify to hold their own AOC by applying to TC as a separate entity per the regular channels. You should contact TC to find out what your options are.

I would like to see the Accountable Executives come out directly and explain publicly what their true agenda is-fear mongering and deceit...and pad the bottom line. No, but the box store does! Who would want to invest in a charter operator.

LAS losing subsidies

I was at an investors meeting last week and learned London Air's parent company will stop providing subsidies in the 3rd quarter. Can this company remain viable without the operating capital since much of their work is bid at cost? They also reported the company may be back up for sale.

Re: Carson King Air Medevac Captain

The short and easy answer is no. However, if you are single, or d-I-n-k, yes, you could afford a place near the airport on their starting salary. Otherwise, it's the Burbs. You're looking at $1500 per month for a one bedroom within 15 min drive of the airport. YVR is expensive...only come here if y...

Never did, never will. I'm not a degenerate and I don't believe I'm alone in this industry.

I highly recommend you believe everything you read on avcanada and make your career/life decisions based on that information. If you are qualified and interested, why not just call the company and ask. I hear the starting f/o pay is 36k+ with a 4/4 schedule in yvr not sure the sched in ylw or yyc. S...

Re: Gazette Part 1 - New fatigue management regulations proposed

Spent 5 years in the place after an industry meltdown and finally got out, couldn't stand the thinking anymore.........The canadian public service, as I can see, is still on a different planet as they have been for quite some time. They talk and navel gaze, and come up with irrelevant rules. And th...

Re: Carson Air King Air Medevac

They pay really bad. Perhaps it could be you are way over paid for what you are worth. Virtually all 703/704 operators pay the same salary scale for F/O's-$25-35K. The reason is because 90% of F/O's hires are transient. Those that wait for upgrades, usually in 2 years with positive work ethic, make...

Holy f, calm the h down people. They were low and went around. Sure, debrief and don't do it again. That video was put together by someone with too much time on their hands. However, judging by the umbrellas blowing it looks like they were in a bad moment of weather. Probably got some bad winds and...

It is expensive to live in YVR because everyone wants to live here. Much like if there are good waves, everyone wants to surf in the same spot. Stay away people, it sucks in Van.

You would be wise to invest in a con$ultant...even though expensive, you will save weeks even months of back and forth with TC. The savings alone justify the cause.
