All these high-falutin' business buzzwords and not one use of the term synergy. I'm disappointed in the both of you.

90 degrees. Then you let the nose fall (almost like a hammerhead), and after you're below the horizon, it becomes more like an overbank recovery.

So im flying for money, but small, great, but wonder about ones future???? say 1500, do i have a chance for a better f/o position on something heavy, atr, saab, dash????? or find something piston...

Yes, and you wouldn't have to wait for your ASI to do anything but begin to move.

Re: Tailwind Takeoff.....your 2 cents
Think about it even harder, DHC. How does your ASI read your speed? And what speed does it measure? Would it really need to show 20 in order to prove you have no tailwind? Think about it... if your taking off into a tailwind, its probably no more than 10-15 kts.....so as soon as your ASI reads 20, w...

Re: How loud??
King Airs can be noisy with high RPM settings, but not obnoxiously so. You should get along just fine with a good PNR or even a cheapie ANR headset. Wear the best you can afford (but that might not be much if you are on a fresh King Air salary
), your hearing will thank you.

MEF is the highest physical object in the sector plus 100 meters (close to 325 feet if I recall correctly.)

Re: Terminal Control Area - ATC expectations (VFR)
I'll often pick up 50 knots or so in the descent, flying the barber pole. Unless I am given a speed restriction (and of course maintaining speed regs), I see no problem in doing this. This is common practice. I take pride ensuring my passengers arrive as quickly as safely possible to their destinati...

Higher covers lower, lower doesn't cover higher. Do it in a multi (sim or otherwise) and you're swell.

Ugh, thanks for reminding me. I haven't put my last 200 hours in. I need to sit down with a 12 pack and some Rub A535 for my writing hand. After a while you will forget where you left your pilots log book and go months without filling in anything. Comes time to do your medical and you have spent $50...

Re: An xx Chromosome.
Female pilots, on average, move up much faster in today's pilot industry. Part of it is a need for the airlines to "meet quotas" and appear politically correct and non discriminatory - so they tend to overcompensate. Note I am not saying that female pilots are any worse or any better than male pilot...

Unfortunately, no solution. And it's not like I don't want one - I wouldn't mind flying a 340 right now myself.
All we can do is educate the public and prospective pilots, because seemingly they are rather misled.

Re: aviation industry today
The laws of both supply and demand. There is a large supply of pilots in the industry (for reasons pertaining to the romanticisation of the job, false expectations, etc.) and a relatively low demand for said pilots. This shifts the supply curve to the right and the demand curve to the left. The poin...
