Re: I found a new use for my Leatherman

Playing golf in Arizona I as well had an encounter with the Jumping Cholla! They told me not to go off the fairways to get lost balls, I didn't listen!
I swear that cactus attacked me, I had barbs all down my leg and arm. I was so mad that I smashed the sh*t out of that cactus with my golf club!

Re: great pay for intsructors????

yes your numbers in theory make sense. But do Montair's airplanes never have snags? Are students never caught in traffic? Do you never have to wait for fuel?

Billing 86% of your time at Czbb, ha! Bull*&#* !

Re: Female Friendly Skies ???

Working as an instructor I had many female students, like Rowdy said they quite often lack the technical/mechanical knowledge. However, they definately made up for that with motivation and effort.

In the end, some of my female students turned out to be the best pilots!

Re: Finding someone like me...

definately nothing wrong with rewarding someone for hard work. Just as long as the reward reflects the amount of work put in!

Did rewarding that one instructor motivate the others to get off their butts?

Re: 9200 Reasons/Posts

there definatley needs to be a limit on the x-wind that a pre-ppl student should be allowed to fly solo in. 5kts is too low as the student is sure to see stronger winds after they receive their ppl! Keep in mind however, some students at this point will stomp on the wrong rudder during a slip! Would...

Re: A warning to all new pilots.....

captain canuck were you not aware that the your first job as a pilot is not going to pay well? were you not aware that the first job is extremely difficult to get? It looks as if you recently earned yourself a commercial license and are already bitching about the industry! Its good thing you didn't ...
