I found that that companies who specialize in financing aircraft and construction equipment were not at all competitive and terms/rates of their products were horrible. Surprisingly CIBC gave me the best rates and terms. They have personal loans that can be secured against the aircraft itself. If yo...

Dual Vacuum Pumps are required on the Malibu/Mirage for flights in known or forecast icing. I would imagine if your training aircraft is certified for known ice it may have to have 2 pumps.

Never had this happen on the east coast, but frequently with Oakland Center, Norcal approach & Travis approach. Call them up using Charlie Golf Yadaa Yadaa and they initially respond properly. After 10 mins or so (perhaps a new controller) they come back with Coast Guard Yadaa Yadaa you have traffic...

Park at the Esso FBO if you need gas (ramp fee waived) or in front of the Katana Kafe. Walk in the FBO or Kafe, Walk out the outside door then walk in the terminal building from the outside. Go to Timmies.

The airplane was JetProp, basically a Malibu Mirage airframe with a PT6-35. Normally the ceiling is FL250 for the piston versions. The STC for the turbine conversion includes an increase in the ceiling to FL270.

Condolences to the family. This is a real tragedy
