By the way.. that Captain F'n 5 bars with winglets to you.... Of course it's not for everyone - no job or career is. Thanks Captain Obvious! I know that sounds argumentative, but really, give it a rest. For every disgruntled, negative pilot you can find I can likely find 3 times the number of dissat...

He said he wants to fly for an airline.. I'm just more or less repeating what friends at WJ , AC, Sunwing have all said and experienced.. They all hate the commuting as well... at least 10 guys I know who have gone from hand flying turboprops, to airlines hate it and say its boring as #### and wishe...

Stick with your EE degree and buy a Super Cub with big tundra tires and enjoy flying for flying.. Unless of course you want to live in hotel rooms, eat shit food, become the typical fat useless North American adult, ruin your family, get divorced, owe her money for the rest of your life... Seen that...

Re: Encore WACON released and surprise, it sucks
Of course there was an abundance of applicants.. anyone who applied is seeing this as the "short track" to the 737... as much as they say they will draw from outside and encore for the 737, in time they are just going to pull from Encore... why wouldnt they... they already know you and your habits. ...

Rangewise.. obviously depends on the load.. my friend at Perimeter made it all the way to Charlottetown from Winnipeg with 1400lbs of payload and still had piles of fuel on board....

Re: Perimeter Aviation
My understanding is you are interviewed for the position you are initially applying for... so if you are interviewing for a check in spot... you are asked relevant questions relating to that position... the company is aware you are a wannabe pilot, but you are not being interviewed based on that... ...

You get hired for ramp/ops/cargo positions initially.. you are NOT hired as a pilot... they know you are a wannabe pilot, but thats not what you are hired as... after X amount of months, you are allowed to submit your application for flightline positions... this is the "pool" the other guy is referr...

callsign - I'd personally go bother the 704 chief pilot, the 705 chief pilot, the assistant chief pilot, ops manager, assistant ops manager, and HR, and ask.. no wait DEMAND that you get your spot before the other people that have been there for 1.5 years already who arent flying yet... Im sure that...

Got the PFO today, 6 weeks to the day after the interview. I thought it was the best interview I ever did, but I guess I don't have the right stuff. No word (and they won't tell you) whether it was the interview, psych tests or cog tests that sunk me. 3500TT, glass cockpit, multi-turbine, etc. Univ...
