The company has said , the TA that got voted down would have made Westjet AME’s the best paid in the country, is this true ? If it’s true how can money still be an issue ?

Top ACA is 46$ and change , plus 10% ACA premium , plus 20% savings plan , when you add it all up it equals 60$ an hour , which management says is more than anyone else therefore no significant raise is justified .

Any updates ? Has the deadline not passed the company set to have something done by ? Are negotiations still continuing ?

So management is saying maintenance is already overpaid per industry standard, and maintenance wants 20% minimum increase because the pilots won with there contract. Where does this end ? Will there be a work stoppage with Westjet maintenance ?

Very true , a lot of the work done out of these third world shops is garbage , do you think a bean counter cares ? All that matters is numbers , if on paper doing these checks in the third world , where most of the people actually doing work on the plane cannot read a maintenance manual, saves money...
