Re: Drama Queen pax runs to CBC
This young lady is trying to educate herself and others about things that we see as "normal." Instead of firing insults her way why don't you try contributing to a constructive dialogue.

Re: Link PNG
Hey folks, as we all saw Link PNG put a job ad up Other than being in Papua New Guinea and what looks like a great safety record according to wikipedia, anyone know anything about that company? Like schedule and salary and company culture? They cited part 135 does that mean you need an American lic...

Re: Grande Prairie Deal
So this is an ad for maybe 10 pilots out there? If you were told that, I'm assuming you are one of the COPA pilots. Couldn't you just share in your group? YQU had very high prices when Swan Aero was the only game in town. Prices dropped once Happy Gas started. Happy Gas has bent over backward for G...

I flew across the pacific twice this year with my four year old daughter and no issues at all. Go potty before the flight and at regular intervals throughout, be engaged and on top of the situation. Geesh people just check their brains with their baggage.

With 20 gallons of fuel, BEW of around 1450, and a MTOW of 2300lbs, that leaves 180lbs/person. Perfectly okay. He dipped the tanks in Tofino and had 20 gallons. That's 2.5 hours at 8 gph. Plenty of fuel. Yes, he ran out of fuel, but the puzzling question is why? Was the dipstick inaccurate (wrong s...

Re: Cat1 medical Inguinal Hernia Question
I have an umbilical hernia and scheduled for an operation in July. My aviation doctor says to tell my doctor that I'm a commercial pilot and it will be up to her to give me the appropriate "time off" work (like she would for others) and that I'm not subject to losing my medical with my type of hern...

Based on what I've heard from everybody I know who has worked with Chinese students...stay away. Unless you enjoy pulling your hair out of your scalp.

I found this list of "http://www.softwareadvice.com/ca/hr/app ... comparison." Probably something in here that would work for you. At the very basic you could likely set up some sort of Key Word filter on your emails Inbox that does some classification?

OK, you made me google Google Cardboard. Still not sure if it's a joke ... It is very much a real thing. You can get actual cardboard headsets, or some pretty fancy ones from Mattel or even Karl Zeiss. They all work the same though, load your late model smart phone with the appropriate apps, put yo...

I interviewed there about 6 months ago and walked out hoping to never hear from them. Overtime would be payed but it was no where near enough to compensate even concert ticket...

For us to do this, and me be in the left seat he would be a passenger right? Not if you both agree in advance that he's the PIC, which he can be in any seat. If you're worried about your recency to carry your own passengers, the requirement is that you perform the 5 takeoffs and landings. There's n...

Can you help me sort out a recency question?
I hold a CPL license, endorsed with a PPC (last ride 2 months ago), multi turbine, actively employed. I would like to do some recreational flying in a SEL machine that lives on the field. I satisfy the 5 and 2 year requirements, no problem. So...I am legal to go up in the SEL by myself. However... i...

Job seeking tip #1 should be "Proof read your resume 5 times, then ask somebody else to proof read it. Then edit down your cover letter by at least 25%, then proof read again."

In what airport does it take 4 almost 5 minutes for the cops to show up? Also, those dudes who stepped in were pretty big!

Picture in original post is very deceptive. Weather at time of crash was very bad, you'd be lucky to see the length of the 3000' runway with strong winds. Also, the left wing was removed with jaws of life.
