When is a sensible time to start studying for the IATRA. Does it expire if you dont fly multi crew plane? How good does it look on a resume?

If some Joe walked off the street and wanted to rent my car for $120 for an hour I'd say no. It is only a $20k car, I've never met this guy, even if he proves he can drive, how do I know he won't rally on it and treat it like a.... 'rental'. It amazes me that there are people who will rent a $60 00...

Forward Slips

I have a flight test soon and my instructor and I havent really gone over forward slips. Can anyone tell me what my examiner will be looking for?

In the planes where I fly they have a placard behind the visor for reference, I'll try to work in your ideas, can't hurt. For our pre-takeoff brief all I was told I needed to say is " in the event of an emergeny below 500 we'll land straight ahead on the runway, above 500 we'll turn back for the air...

thats not professional at all That's what I did and it was just fine... It's a friggin Cessna 150 for god's sake! I'm not actualy not worried about it. I just posted it to see what people would have to say. I know it differs with the plane , the way you made it sound was like because its a 150 the ...

well you should think that probaly the next flying you'll be doing is for some company, the examiner knows that so the more professional the better. the plane is irrelevant

always carb heat first, you can get carb ice between -5 to 30 degrees celcius
