Please do not stick your gum under the seats. Turn your cell off and yes that includes Blackberries, I-phones and whatever device you have physically inserted into yourself. No ! Champagne is NOT served aboard this flight, Wardair went out of business years ago ! Yes! When you flush , the remains ar...

Re: Montreal F1 Grand Prix Dropped

Strange though ..

Montreal has a contract with FIA till 2011..

The issue is with the teams requesting the 3 week break..

I do not think that this is the end of this story.

Re: Thank God for Palin

guess you haven't been reading the news or giving this a lot of thought Hedley. The US economy is in meltdown along with many, many other serious problems that the next President MUST fix. McCain is 72 years old and there is a better than scary chance that he won't see the end of his first term if ...

Re: Entry Aircraft

Thanks Hedley. I would love to park my butt in a Pitts, though I am petrified of those ground loops. Did some time in a Citabria, while I always managed to walk away from my landings, I am sure they did not look very good. Everything looks good until the tail touches down :( Tried it all 3 point, st...

Re: Stephan Harper Criticism

The bottom line is we need a strong gov in parliment. The next 4 years could be the hardest for Canadians yet. We are not out of any crisis and indications only point to worsening conditions. A minority gov might not have the capabilities to deal with these uprising issues. I vote for power! BTW, do...

Re: Percentage of pilots in Canada

Perhaps you are thinking in the sense that fewer pilots better oppertunity of getting a job. Or worth more money. Supply and demand.. In that sense yes and no.. It depends on how jobs available and how many pilots are availble to fill such jobs. zNot the percentage of the populus that is flying. SF./

Re: Speaking French on the radio

Now the laziest reaction would be: why don' t they speak my language!!! The safest one would be: I have to understand what they are saying. Somehow I tend to disagree.. In your example you spoke of China, now China with its numerous dialects, they also need a common language in order to communicate...

Re: Picking a landing point for the presolo student

Why would any manufacturer fit flaps to an aeroplane and then have someone tell you it is wrong to use them??? I stumbled onto this thread and I must I am a bit concerned. Whatever happened to teaching the student WHY and HOW flaps work, instead of just having them memorize a certain pro...

No smoking within eight hours of flying and no drinking within fifty feet of the aircraft.

So I am flying a little ol' PA33 with 2 smoking PAX , they cannot light up ???

But they can have a drink ? Right..

Re: Percentage of pilots in Canada

Maybe 99.75% of the people out there were smart enough not to get into this field or hobby. I think if more people would be in the hobby, the industry as a whole would be more vibrant and alive. Maybe if the numbers where greater we would be able to help reduce costs. Strenght is in numbers, and th...

Re: The Flight Test Pressure mounts.

But if you make a mistake in the real world, after you pass your artificial tests, you may very well kill yourself, your passengers, and people on the ground as well. This is the real test - every flight AFTER your artificial, regimented tests are complete. I know, I know, crap on me from a great h...

Why is that neat ??? IMHO more people should fly. t quite amazing that a geography like Canada, and yet only 2% of the populus flies.. Thats shameful!! The industry of aviation does not only revolve around Airline companies, the industry needs more pilots, more planes, more AME more instructors.. In...
