It may very well depend upon new regulations regarding temporary foreign workers.

Nor am I sir, I try to spend a little less than I make and save for a rainy day.
Nor do I wish to disparage one system or another. My curiosity was genuine.
Like art, I know what I like.
Paul Gaugin's paintings of naked Polynesian women are my favorites.

A-330; Bede's estimate is bang on. My neighbour is a emb Captain, I know exactly how much he makes. I know how much my F/Os make on the 737. It's about the same. The above statement is correct. Straight time is eligible for ESP and contributes to one's profit sharing , overtime does not.

Yhz Numbers are steady. What KAG said was true when we had a Transat contract.
There is also a Port in YOW and a Flight attendant only Port in Montreal.

If you are as close as you say to receiving a TC medical and ATP, I would go ahead and apply now.
Having said that, I do not know if the online application requires that you enter license number , medical expiry etc.
Dave will come on later and clarify.

John...
What you said...agreed.
I bought a watch with my first profit sharing cheque, today they tell me it's $125 for a new titanium strap.
I'll be ecstatic if my cheque will by me the new strap.

I'm not sure what you are getting at, but I can assure you that Westjet's debt is quite manageable and our owners are handsomely compensated. I don't have the details here in my house early this Sunday morning, but sapy scales, aircraft orders, and debt are all public knowledge. Start with the annua...

Zat so...? I had beers with an AA F/O (a 19 year F/O at that) in Miami not to long ago. He had a 3000 sq ft home in Omaha Neb., worth about 300k last year. He pays $7000 property tax to the city. Same story a few weeks later, couple in a slightly bigger home on a corner lot in Coral Gables Fl., agai...

Re: Americans?

Lurch is on glue, his statement might have had some relevance in the last century. Not any more.
Low pay and lay-offs characterize the American scene these days. Canada's aviation industry is showing a modicum of stability and many pilots are cautiously optimistic.

I have a fond memory of Rick which I'd like to share, I saw him Christmas Day in Toronto, he was halfway through a bottle of Appleton's. We chatted about his land in the Annapolis Valley and his dream of building a house there. In heaven there is a view from South Mountain and a bottomless bottle of...

No one except the WJPA executive has seen the agreement, including beak-off artist Balfour. There will be no 2% pay cut, because if such a ludicrous proposition is put forth, it will be voted down, thus making Balfour's point moot.

Re: Does the coolaid really taste as sweet as it sounds?

Everyone sells their shares all the time. You may sell non-registered (non rsp) shares 4 times per year and rsp shares 4 times per year. If the price is decent, you should. What you spend it on is up to you. The best advice I've gotten is to pay off your house, this is aviation after all. No one, I ...

By my unofficial, but reasonably accurate count, 42% of pilots commute. I used the PORT stats that are e-mailed out every month and then added up on my fingers the guys whom I know to commute but do not or cannot (due to location) utilize a PORT. It looks like most commuters live in YVR. The rest ar...
