Re: Bose aviation headsets...pleased be advised:
I thought to be an aviator, problem solving was one of the requirements? Send it to an authorized Bose dealer and be prepared to pay in USD for the repair or find a reputable avionics guy, where you're located who's up for the challenge. Failing that, continue on your ride (and posting on this issue...

Re: Benefits of using digital wallet mobile app whilst travelling
Unfortunately the rest of the world is behind China, in this capacity. I have been using WeChat wallet and Alipay which are directly tied to your bank account. Useable in both platforms (Apple and Android) and the transaction can be confirmed by fingerprint or by passcode. Just scan the retailer’s b...

Metro II (SW3)
Not enough wing nor power
Not enough rudder especially single engine with more than 1/4 or 1/2 flap, it's been awhile
Nose wheel steering was forever failing with or without a failure annunciation
Had water methanol injection, that should be enough said

Re: Overseas Contract Information Seminar
Roumor has it China is no longer taking Canadian license holders. Is this correct? 100% not true. Is your client in Southern China or Beijing region? Sounds like there are at least two different aviation authorities that might not have the same rules for foreign pilots. There are at least 3 separat...

Regardless if it's practiced by others, it's a question of airmanship.

Re: Air Canada doubling A320 fleet in YVR
I thought Sky Regional was starting to push out west because Jazz isn't able to compete with Encore. The grapevine that I heard this in seemed to suggest Jazz retracting back east where Encore doesn't have a strong presence, and let Sky Regional do the associated CRJ flying out of YYC/YVR; as a res...

Re: 747 EPR Question
guys with actual hours on the plane hate flying it by hand.. which you will. Pretty much the exact opposite of everything every single person who has ever flown one has ever said, ever. Couldn't agree more, the B747-400 was a dream to handfly. Responsive and agile for its mass. If you get the job o...

Re: Canadian North to Operate Air Transat Flights
The company and Air Transat contract are all intact. That's good if true........but why are the Enerjet flights from YVR non-existant after Oct 25th? Why wouldn't it be true, you have factual information otherwise? Do you have the entire TS YVR winter schedule? That would be the most telling of you...

Re: Canadian North to Operate Air Transat Flights
Yea... I have heard from several sources that they didn't renew the lease on one of their 737 ng's... So I'm wondering if they lost the Transat flying on top of the oil contract. That would kind of close the doors no? Perhaps there's something else on the go... The company and Air Transat contract ...

Re: New leaf travel????
In truth, I'm not a big proponent of it, I just don't understand your logic.
Providing passenger seats for those in a lower demographic, may be potentially problematic. We're seeing more situations that require flights to be met by the police as passengers are becoming less respectful to the crews.

Re: New leaf travel????
Your information regarding Canada's potential ULCC's using an overseas model comes from what source? Their crew's experience is determined by the type of business model they run? New Leaf will wet lease Flair, which sounds like the same deal KFC had with Greyhound. Flair offers them a turn key opera...

Re: New leaf travel????
First off, this is Canada and not overseas, though some may argue, we have standards and oversight. Our pilots and talent are exported, we don't import (Sunwing is another argument). Jetsgo was an exception as crews essentially paid for their position, hopefully our profession has learned from these...

Re: New leaf travel????
ULCC = ULCEmployees and unless experienced airline pilots are willing to accept a ULCWage and compensation package theses ULCCs will have ULExperience sitting up front and I wouldn't put my family in their hands. Hope I'm wrong. Air Canada/Westjet/Jazz/Sky Regional/Porter have hired their FO's comi...

It also may depend on where the airline is based and thus which province provides the liquor license.

Interesting to see if they're able to comply with Boeing's requirements, listed in the last paragraph of this link.

Re: Jade Cargo B747F on approach
500 Jade Cargo videos on the net? I don't think so.
The airline has only been operating for a little under 2 years.
The video in question, was taken abeam and showed a very unstable approach.

Does anyone still have the Jade Cargo video, that was released probably 2 years ago?
