Re: Alkan Air?

I heard various things, Danger pay, or a tax reduction, although living up north can be expensive in some aspects b...

It is photoshopped. I have the same pic in a green colour.
It will be in Thomas Cook livery and probably with in little print " Operated by Jazz Air" by the front door.

These days aviation is not the only area that does pre employment drug screening, alot of places do it. Working in the oil patch, truck drivers and the list goes on and on. Seems to be the norm more than the exception now.

I think that with retirement under 65 years you are penalized a % of what you would get if you went to 65, I don't know the % offhand.

:prayer: Now let me get this straight, there are too many duty time limits imposed to keep pilots safe in the air, but what I am hearing is that instead of resting you are working second jobs ?? :prayer: Did I get this right ? Why not let the pilots fly 160 hrs a month instead of 80 !!! Would still...

Interesting situation, lets twist it a little shall we to see where it lands. Same situation, only they are of the same religion, except he is HIV positive and knows it. The question of weather a person knowingly has any STIs is never asked. What then? Is he guilty for not disclosing his HIV positi...

If they are threatining back to work legislation for Jazz I imagine ACPA wouldn't stand much of a chance of going on strike if they had to.

Neither. The strike notice has not been given as they are apparently making progress in negotiations. With that in mind we could give notice anytime if the negotiations have broken down.
Hopefully we don't have to but we are ready.

Re: Question regarding aviation medical?
The large and or organized 705 companies all have some sort of substance abuse program. Or it is available through the union or benefit plan. This usually means you have been nicked and that is a way of getting the medical back. I don't know what you do if you don't have the benefit of such a progr...

This is a company that has developed exactly what you are talking about, working on a deal with Airbus and alot of others. Very interesting, for all you investors out there could be a good idea getting in.

Re: Heard a rumour... CanJet to close YHZ base?
Simple solution, the Company should build better pairings out of YHZ. When I started at Jazz there were some dash pairings the began with a DH from YYC to YYZ and finished with a DH back. Those usually went to senior guys as they had a much higer credit. The 4 days with DH's were 26-28 credit, the ...
