Re: Middle East now open to Turbo Prop Pilots'
Anyone have any insight on FZ (flydubai)? 3yr 36K bond. Conditions sound ok for FO's from what i hear. Pay is 11K a month (US) but you take care of your own housing etc. I'm faced with the decision on either that or a regional in Canada for peanuts. Perks are not bad, however, the flying can be dan...

Re: TC Record of Incidents / Accidents
Fill in this form and send it to the TSB.
They will then send you the letter within a week (you can request a copy via email if you need it faster).
Check your pm.

Re: TC Record of Incidents / Accidents
Canada doesn't do that unlike other regulatory authorities Wrong. When I needed one for a job abroad, Transport Canada told me they do not hold the information, but they refered me to the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) as they do keep the records. You fill in a form and they send you the letter ...

Re: I'm trying to understand...
I've never understood this argument because in a way they are. If you didn't get per diems, where would the money come from? Your pay. Which is where my food money comes from now. With per diems your pay actually goes into your pocket. You don't seem to realize that when you're on a pairing, your o...

Re: Worth the move?
A new hire won't take three years to make over $40K. There is lots of overtime to be had if one wants to up their T4. That is only going to increase as the pilot supply tightens. I'm really getting tired of this bullshit. One should be able to have a decent salary without having to work on his/her ...

Re: Aviation Document Booklet - Expiration
Went to see TC 2 weeks before expiry date. They told me they would take care of it the same day. Received it by mail 1 week later
That was last month.

Re: WPPA.ca
930 hours... wow! Westjet pilots are already the hardest working airline pilots in Canada and they want them to work even more? Actually that's the pay garauntee for the year not what you will be working necessarily. And it works out to 77.5 hours a month, not really that much. You never go on holi...

Re: Thought This Should Go in the Accident Part...
Pretty stupid thing to do with a million dollar plus aircraft, come to think of it that would be pretty stupid with a $30,000 Pawnee. For documented gross stupidity, not to mention the most inappropriate title, I prefer this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTkXvz6pScs Too bad the shitty music...
